as to op-- didnt you say that thing 1 and thing 2 and student were all related

some family -- you know they are all in it and not realy having any regards to the horse at all

as you did say they brought and sold between themselves so
they have done this deal getting the best -- was this thread as another twist to the tale
so the horse could gain more media- making a horse that wasnt valable valuable

She recieved a cashiers check yesterday and the money was in her account this morning.

So... unless the jackass really is a member of the Nigierian royal family whos daughter is studying in the united states and needs a royal horse to ride while shes here... it might be over...

Glad the seller got what she wanted in the end; her money and rid of the horse. Guess she always does coming out smelling like roses b/c this SHOULD have been a disaster 100 times over. Some people just are "lucky" I suppose.

What I want to know is if the new owners paid $20K for the horse or are just saying they paid $20K for the horse (I think Donkeyman's friend was the one that heard that a few pages back). And if they did pay $20K for the horse, how much the seller actually received.

Yep...that is possible. I used to work in banking. But I doubt very seriously they sent her a cashiers check and then stopped the payment...that is illegal and though these people may have taken advantage of this girl they really haven't done anything illegal...she agreed to everything they asked so as much as we wanted to think they were criminals who were going to screw her over in the end, they came through in the end and bought the horse.

well, ya know...I hate to be so suspicious but what if the new owners actually PAID $20K for the horse but Thing 1 and Thing 2 did not disclose that information with the seller? Would she have any legal recourse in her contract?
