Dos Equis Amber here !
I'm wondering if the other interested party talked to her, she mentioned it to wannabe buyer, and suddenly wannabe buyer stopped dicking around..!?
That would be awesome if other interested party wound up with him! Too fun!
What SHALL we do when this saga does end?! I'm gonna need my fix!!!

1. The PPE is reschedualed.
2. The PPE finds something.
3. The price is dropped.
The superfecta:
1. The PPE is reschedualed.
2. The PPE finds something.
3. The price is dropped.
4. The check bounces.
We could even offer a Pick Six:
1. The "trial" is extended.
2. The PPE is reschedualed.
3. The PPE finds something.
4. The price is dropped.
5. The check bounces.
6. Owner/seller gets a bill for 3 months board and the PPE.
I like FindEight's thinking, but I think the Powerball hit here is that we find out the horse has probably been sold to someone ELSE.
As in the people who've been stalling are gonna come up w/the $7500 (hypothetical) out of the $10,000 (hypothetical) they're getting from someone else for him!

My computer lab gets out at 4:15, I'll still have about two hours to wait. I guess I could go the gym...

I go with Powerball! My thoughts...someone who has read this thread went to the show, saw "T" being a saint and having known the pricing and horrible epic saga, made the owner an offer that was higher than these people's and still lower than the original amount she wanted.

It's also possible that the "buyers" have come to feel some of the ripples of being part of a 58 page and counting COTH thread.
What do you bet that some of their horsey acquaintances have put two and two together and figured out who the "buyers" in question are?
Or, perhaps it's the "trainers" that are feeling the heat (again because some of their clients have figured out what's what), and who have put pressure on the "buyers" to finalize the deal.
My bet is that the "buyers" have scraped together some cash, but are making a lowball offer (at least initially) just to see if it will fly.

Exactly what I'm thinking!
I'm still hoping that someone else has the horse, but I have a feeling that someone was feeling the heat!

well, I have errands to run, but by the time I get home it will be past time for an update (one good thing about 5:30 here being 2 hours behind 5:30 there)
I'm betting it's still a "probably," "the check is in the mail," or someone else swooped in and took T to a proper home (you know, one in where the people are HONEST)

Okay, so new betting opportunities!
Horse is sold, but to someone else 20/1
Horse is sold, but payment will be later because of various convoluted reasons 2/1
Horse is sold and payment has been wired and received 500/1

I'd like to place my bet for:
Horse is sold because trainer who was "borrowing" the horse actually sold the horse to a client for double wht he/she/it will pay the original owner.
I'll bet that the "trainer" made a cool 10k on this little deal.

So after needing to wait until 1-18 to vet the horse, they suddenly on 1-17 decide screw the PPE & are going to buy??? WTF? They could have done that 5 weeks ago. Something happened here....
"Sold" to me means I have the cash in my hot little hand. Somebody hundreds of miles away who's been yanking me around for 7 weeks simply saying "we'll take him" does not mean squat in my world.

Yeah, I'd lay odds on that at about 5/1.

My bet ... they offered the seller less than 1/2 her original asking price in return for foregoing the PPE.... no cash yet transferred in any form.

2/1 on that one. Sounds plausible.
