Sorry, due to the writer's strike, we won't be getting a new episode until at least fall 2008 & it might even be 2009!

Methinks the check got deposited, and seller is waiting for it to clear. Should have hammered that sucker...............

I'm wondering, considering how long this has gone on, who would like to go in on a pool on WHEN it will end? Or maybe how??

    (a) The check cleared on January 2nd, horse is sold, yeah!!
    (b) The future horse owners (maybe) call and request a "few more days" - maybe until Friday (payday?). The saga ticks on.
    (c) The check bounces!! Another is sent. Lather, rinse, repeat!
    (d) The check bounces! The OPs friend decides enough is enough, and drivesvdown to get it and discovers in a Twilight Zone kind of twist that the TOWN IS GONE ... there's nothing but a swamp where once stood a busy boarding barn!

Just some ideas to keep us entertained until the OP can get back with an update.

By the way, I'm still crossing my fingers for (a). Happy endings are always so satisfying.

As an alternate Twilight Zone-type ending, the OP's friend drives down to Florida to pick up the horse, arrives at the address, and finds no boarding barn, just a run-down little house. No one comes to answer the door, and OP's friend wanders around to the back yard, where she finds a young girl sitting under a tree humming, and playing with her Breyer horses... and one of the Breyers looks JUST LIKE OP'S FRIEND'S HORSE!!!!!

    The REAL problem?

Hell is freezing over! Yes, that's right, they have predicted SNOW FLURRIES here in South Florida. Where, [cue the ominous music] the OP's horse is now!

Once again, COTH has predicted the Apocalypse...
