Question Gwen update: a CANTER today!

So...maybe her hocks ARE sore, but that isn't what's wrong.

Today she is staggering. Keeps her head and neck tilted to the left, and is very reluctant to do anything to the right. Will turn a full circle left to avoid going even slightly to the right, and is having a hard time getting up.

Re-thinking the EPM diagnosis, and since she's deteriorated so sharply we're going to start empirically treating her even before the assay.

Please, more jingles for the brave old girl.

Praying that Gwen can stay on her feet long enough for the meds to work. It's good that she has a caring, knowledgeable mom and will get the best of care.

    BIG JINGLES!!!!

Jingling for poor Gwen! I've silently followed "Gwen stories" for quite a while here, so I feel like I know her - sending good mojo her way!

    Crap.
Here's hoping that you see a quick turnaround with the EPM meds.

Maybe a Lyme's titer too? Sorry if that's not the right course of action, I'm trying to think "neuro" when hoof abnormalities are on my mind.

Please know that I'm jingling hard for you and Gwen!!!

I am so sorry. Do they think they will be able to do anything for her? EPM is very difficult to deal with. Jingles.

Didn't you say she was over 20? Stroke is a possibility also and she may come back some from it.

Oh no, Deltawave! My heart breaks for you and your lovely girl! I'll be holding you and your beautiful mare in the light and in my heart, and wishing for a speedy recovery and a complete return to normal for the big girl.
