    Default Search function problems

    Hi,

Have been trying to do a search on hay shed(s) or hay for past threads through both regular search and advanced search for several days.

    Keep getting:
The following errors occurred with your search:
    1. Sorry - no matches. Please try some different terms.

This happens on both IE and Firefox as the browser.

Can your tech folks check into this?

Not sure what other search terms may be affected.

    Thanks!

    TJ

You can work around it by going to Google and searching exactly as follows:

    site:chronicleforums.com hay

    or in this format:

    site:chronicleforums.com whateverwordyouaresearchingfor

Frankly, the search feature on the board stinks and doesn't work correctly half the time either. The google search is much more complete and accurate most of the time.

I got 20 pages of answers using just "hay shed" in advanced search.

The search will only search for terms that are more than three characters long, so it won't search for "hay." This is because it would slow the board way way down to do those searches because they'd turn up so many results.

The Google search should work just fine though if you need to search for something that's only three characters.
