Here is a link to the stable where she boards near Marysville/Beale.
Dau is currently stationed at Beale. She lives in Marysville. Beale AFB has a self care facility, but the distance from Marysville to Beale Stables isn't convenient. She boards at a barn abt 30 min...
I've lived and had horses in southern AZ since 1968. I haven't heard of any EPM cases around here.
I used apple cider vinegar, garlic and quercetin. For a 1100# mare, 3 cloves ground garlic, 1/4 c vinegar and 5 querctin tabs.Once daily. I purchased the quercetin from Puritan's Pride.
I bought bulk quercetin capsules from Puritan's Pride and fed it to my mare when she was hivey. I gave her some ACV and garlic with it. It seemed to help.
Thanks, already on top of that! Just trying to spread the word.
My old mare would practically knock me over to get to her bucket that had just been bleach-rinsed! Licked it all over looking for bleach droplets that I might have missed. Darndest thing!

I grind it for my toothless wonder. Just spin it around in a dry blender.
My perspective, from experience in Arizona, is you can do a 10 hour soak in the winter, but not the summer.
I can't say that is "enough"--I'm no authority. However, I have a similar size horse, non PSSM, and he gets 2 c of ground flax per day and 1 c of vegetable oil, in addition to his feed. He is a very...
TSC is opening their first stores in our state, so I have never shopped at one. I perused their website for some basic 411 and have some questions.
It appears their house brand of feed is DuMoor....
I think you could do that with 2 heavy duty rubbermaid type trash cans as long as they had straight and not sloping sides. Leave one intact. Take the second one and cut it down to roughly the depth...
I have been feeding food grade DE daily for YEARS. It won't hurt him. I feed abt 3T daily as a feed thru wormer to an 800-900# gelding and mare. Fecals come back clean.
