They did switch her to a senior feed, and she's getting Cocosoya oil. Interesting idea about the probiotics.
Lots of good suggestions. I believe that a dental specialist has examined her, but I'll check with the owner. Obviously, she loves the horse to have shipped her from England, so she'll do...
I believe she was tested for Cushings and was dewormed for tapes. And teeth were checked. Lyme disease, unfortunately, is a possibility. Thanks for the ideas.
Here is the back story. A friend of mine brought her 27 year old mare (now 28) and 10 year old gelding to the U.S. a year ago. Everyone in the quarantine station was complimentary about the great...
Here's an interesting perspective re: The Donald:
Jim R, if you are going to post statistics relating to gun murders committed by democrats, it's only fair to post those of Republicans. ;)
Uh huh... and then we have politicians who don't believe there are mental health problems and want mental health programs defunded. So where does that leave us?
Great advice. I have a Hennig Sofa that I bought for my gelding and, even though it was a good fit on him, I really disliked it. On a whim, I tried it on my mare and now LOVE the saddle. I'm thinking...
For some campy films: "Donny Darko" (long version) and "The Fearless Vampire Killers or Excuse Me but You have Your Teeth in my Neck"
YES! Love everything about those two.
I have had semi-custom Koenigs,, Cavallos, and Petries.
The Petries and Koenigs have held up extremely well over time, but I have a slight preference for Petries. However, I wouldn't rule out...
The hysterical language in the article is a complete turnoff for me. Even if the author is 100% correct, he/she sounds rabid. ;)
This is a long but interesting article. I'd be interested in hearing thoughts on it; particularly from teachers/professors.
So glad he's all right. He has such a great attitude and sense of humor. He personifies "stuff happens and you just have to keep moving forward."
You should look into an Ideal. They are less expensive and MUCH faster delivery. I had mine in four weeks. It's very similar to the Trilogy--even made in the same town. ;)
ETA: a friend of mine...
The horse isn't respecting your inside leg. That's what needs fixing.
 Indeed, Silverbridge.
Marla, pass the popcorn. Oh, and the Glenlivet while you're at it so that we can get raging drunk.
One of three things is going on here:
1) She is bat doodoo crazy
2) She has never purchased a horse before and doesn't realize she was responsible for the PPE costs
3) She is trying to make a...
I have two friends who train with her, and yes, they say she's tough. However, she really knows her stuff and they have both benefited enormously from training with her.
Someone else mentioned this pair on the Totilas thread, so I did a search on YouTube. Absolutely beautiful mare who appears to have a great work ethic. It doesn't hurt that she's so well ridden...
Me likey your horse, Tiger. You could get away with wearing any color on him since no one will be looking at you. ;)
I don't have any recommendations for a bit, but Dressage Extensions will let you rent bits with option to purchase.
Tiger Horse, you need to post a photo!
Even though it's not a lovely, sunny day here, I simply refuse to bicker with you over inferences or implications. :) Have a nice day! (Seriously).
ETA: I can't help myself (surprised, huh!), but...
