I prefer black, particularly if baby already has a lot of bling.
For yearlings, I use a halter from Dover that has a padded noseband, similar to a bridle (with the padding in black also). Weanlings...

AHF - I thought you had mentioned you like him. I got some video footage of him this evening for you.

Except that the poor choices people make do have consequences - monetary and other - for other people. Who do you think pays for these poor decisions, exactly?

"Obviously I am not sure of his inner constitution"
Do you mean temperament? That phrase reminds me of a babblefish translation from German ;)

Check with your accountant. I cannot imagine that it would not qualify as an improvement but I am not a tax lawyer either :)

This might help:

I would have to ask my accountant but I think my arena is on a depreciation schedule.
I don't think outdoor arenas would...

It is a shame considering that so few US stallions actually compete.

I hope they just got loose and will be found very soon. This is really heartbreaking.

Go with Don Prinicipe. You have seen him; you like him, and he is a great producer. I have no idea how one could pick something sight unseen based on an internet recommendation from a stranger over...

Ruiz Soler is reputed to be a good hunter sire, also, fwiw.

He may be an awesome colt, but a lot of people, including me, are not going to care about his RPSI ranking from a foal inspection.
The best way to test the market is to advertise him on a high...

Frodo looks so handsome! I can't believe he is all grown up! So nice to see him doing so well!

I knew you were going to say this. By preemie, I meant less than normal gestational length. In my horse's case, 309 days.

I am seeing 13K to 17K even in this market for top foals. Personally, the designation "stallion prospect" is meaningless to me because it is overused and most people have no interest in raising a...

I think preemies tend to finish small. That has been my experience, anyway. FWIW, I had a preemie (born 3 weeks early) that was 13.3 at 2 and finished at 15.2 (which he reached at 3 1/2).

Have you considered trying to place her in a good university breeding program like Virginia Tech's or Cornell's? You would get a tax deduction for the charitable donation, also. Just be sure to...

He is a very nice horse and he looks like he is very rideable and could probably be a good big eq horse as well.

Well, Germany is quite a bit smaller than the United States, for example, so it is presumably easier to hop in a car to see horses in person there. Also, Europeans seem to have no qualms about...

Shewould be 20 or 21 now. She may be retired.

I am flying Lufthansa in a few weeks through Frankfurt to Bremen. The cooler route, imo, was Air France to Bremen via Paris with a layover of sufficient length to have dinner in Paris.
-
My thoughts exactly. I would bet that they may not even realize how restrictive / onerous the contract is. If interested in the stallion, I would contact the stallion owner and try to work out a...

Because, among other things, if the foal works out as hoped, it will not be a 12K or 24K 4 year old but maybe a six-figure one. So you can either roll the dice and pay less now, or wait and pay A...
