We had our first one back yesterday (in southwestern Ontario).
I didn't have time to read through all the responses but check out the Nissan Armada .. I don't think I will ever switch vehicles again. Excellent family SUV and tows more than most standard trucks.
My vet has been gone since last week so I haven't been able to follow up with him about moving forward.
I put a message in to him about doing a blood panel this week so we have a baseline - thank...
Thank you to everyone for the advice, stories and comments so far... please keep them coming.
I have started him on Vitamin E & Selenium, as well as an overall mineral supplement.
The horse in question is a large bodied 17.0hh, 5 year old warmblood gelding. Has has never been started undersaddle but has all the prep work done.
I have bred and raised this...
Peanut butter and lettuce sandwich.. a friend had me try them. SO good.
I pretty much like peanut butter and/or jam on anything.
I'm going on my third winter of switching to use the X Hose - would never go back to using a normal hose in sub zero temperatures!
The hose normally lasts one winter and then needs to be thrown...
How very, very sad. Just disgusting..
Does anyone know if Briar 899 semen is available in Canada?
One word - Vaseline.
Last year I purchased an X-Hose which is one of the expanding hoses. This is their website: https://www.xhose.com/pro/
Let me tell you.. I will NEVER go back to using a normal hose in the winter....
I can't wait for this database to grow as more entries are made!

@ Spike - Thank you for your input.. I will fill out my forms the same way you have stated. I was having a hard time imagining them putting up a stink since there are so many breeders inseminating...
Last year was my first year doing all of my own inseminations on mares. I am now preparing to fill out the breeding certificates for Hanoverian and ISR/NA. How do I go about filling these out when...

During a castration a few weeks ago my vet was saying that something has been "off" this year, and that almost every single horse that had been sedated for teeth floating ended up "waking" up early...
We have a copy of ours on our website: http://www.premiumwarmbloods.com/foals.htm
He is available in Canada at Prima Equestrian: http://www.primaequestrian.com/frozen_semen_roster.php
Our first foal of the season arrived at 2:45am on May 3rd :)
Filly by Novalis out of our mare Lana (Landor S x Graphit)
I was interested in him when he stood at Dreamscape farm. Jennifer said he does tend to throw on the heavier side so she wouldn't recommend breeding him to a heavier/older style mare.
It is very frowned upon by judges to clip the muzzle on mares & foals and it may be the same for clipping the inside of ears.
In past years I have been given compliments by judges for NOT clipping...
A breeder's nightmare.. this post gave me chills. I'm very sorry.. sending lots of jingles and good vibes your way.
Yes, Strawberry Fields.
You get to choose your mare and stallion of choice for the resulting foal :)
