I trim the ranch horses and they go about 4 weeks in the summer and 6 in the winter. All barefoot and none of them are sore afterwards, even on the dirt/gravel driveway.

"You're a TB. Why are your feet so hard?"
    "Stop licking my back!"
"Put the coffee cup down right now!"
"OMG your feet are so freaking hard."
"No, you don't need sunscreen on your nose. Put it...

I have an oddly shaped head and my Uvex fits very well. I don't quite remember which CO model fit me but I think it might have been the GR8. IRH long oval models tend to fit me pretty well if that...

Yeah, my antenna-flicking horse likes to lick my back when I trim his front feet. Sometimes if I'm trimming another horse he'll alternate between licking me and licking the other horse. Really.

I was watching the open jumpers at Devon on my smartphone while feeding the horses dinner a few weeks ago. When they sounded the horn for the jumpoff, my ex-racehorse took off whinnying and trotting...

I have a Uvex helmet that's really well ventilated. It's a dial fit but it's very secure.

I have my horse at home (which is also work--I'm a ranch hand--although I don't own the property). I ride pretty much every night, usually just one horse but sometimes two. I'm single and have no...

I knew a lesson horse who was missing a few of his front teeth and his tongue flopped out all the time. He was ridden in a snaffle and loose crank noseband. You could really only see it from the...

I have a horse who generally isn't super spooky, but when he does spook he completely ignores your leg and spins left. He will completely ignore a spur and used to have a meltdown with crops/whips. ...

See, I'm actually really happy to let other people ride my horse as long as a) they wear a helmet and b) they can do w/t/c decently. I have a well-behaved horse and I love seeing other people enjoy...

My gelding used to turn himself out after he was done eating. Unlatch the stall door and walk sedately down to his paddock. Even if he was assigned to a different stall or paddock it only took him...

I learned how to wrap and care for legs working at a barn with a healthy polo program. We also did a lot of cross training with the polo ponies--most of them did lessons and jumped. Cross training...

Bensmom--first of all, I'm in love with your products. I've been actively seeking out leather things to clean, and the lemon soap I purchased through Jeffers smells like pie while the balm smells...

There are very few Stephen Spielberg movies I like, but the two that stuck out the most were Saving Private Ryan and Lincoln. Lincoln was actually the last movie I saw in a theater and I don't think...

I hate Jane Austen books. I'm not fond of Dickens, either, and Tess of the D'Urbervilles made me really angry.

I love having a horse that gives me a lot of feedback re: his likes and dislikes. Most of the time, anyway. I could do without the "I have a tiny scrape on x leg so you're not even allowed to look...

Medium. TR tights run big. I wear a size 14-16 US and usually get a Large in their summer models. XL in winter ones so I can layer easily. The Prixtecs are my favorite.

I use this one--it was a little over $20 IIRC. It's on summer #3 and hasn't failed me yet. It's quiet and has held up well to horses using it as a chew toy (I'm looking at you, fat cowpony). I do...
