Very sad and shocking news. Condolences to all of her friends and family.
Boy, Amen to that! To get that horse around Rolex without jumping penalties? I'm still amazed she did it. Oh, and it was the first 4* for both of them.
LOL, gotta be careful in this small world! Very happy to see Lauren (and everyone else) on the team, she is a tough, talented competitor.
My thoughts exactly. Sad for Lauren Kieffer to withdraw, and for Jimmie Schramm who was so close to home at her first Rolex. LOVE Derek's courses.
Gotta be just devastating to Kyle. Such a class act. Condolences to him and his team.
That's Bill Hoos country is it not?
Go Lauren!! She has developed as an amazing rider.
It's about time I did! : )
Man, you can move up just by staying at the same level.
http://https://m.youtube.com/#Anyone see a tall skinny bearded guy with a large stars and stripes hat? C'est moi, it was on live feed and Gryhrs and I made channel 3 news!
Very sad, we saw him go and they looked fit and good to go. It was a tough course, but I don't recall any sign of distress as they sailed past us.
Even if there were trace amounts of a banned drug, the next question is did that tiny fraction of a therapeutic dose influence the horses behavior? I would think not. C'mon FEI, THINK!!! They...
We pulled our boys from the Champagne Run XC because of hard ground, that is hard to do. Go to a HT and just do a combined test. My guy has pads in his front feet and frankly we've had bad...
That's a beautiful XC course and you handled things great. Looked like a fairly beefy Training course.
Great front end, nice forward round and not even close to the poles. What more can you ask for? Very nice.
What does the future hold for this lovely boy?
So...does Jock get his Burghley win back?
Sounds like it will be several more weeks before any verdict is returned.
A trainer once told me to think of "rowing the boat" as an analogy to keep a softer, more following contact to the fences. I've also been amazed at how looking up and ahead of the fence keeps me...
Great video, thanks for sharing. We were watching at the water, waiting for our friend Janet who also rocked thru there, and saw you come through. Nice save at the downbank!
Yes, if I understand it right, for BN and N, a witnessed fall with the rider landing on their feet is OK. Or, a fall not related to a fence is OK to remount and continue at any level. If you can...
I would hate to see event horses get even more expensive than they are now. I love the fact that we can compete with horses that don't cost an arm and a leg.
I sold mine this past winter, and still feel guilty for selling a horse that took such good care of me. It was a tough thing to do, my only consolation is that he went to a good home.
We volunteered on Sat and saw Bikoman and Little Hail tearing it up! Congrats!
I think for the adult amateurs who have jobs, that thought, the "why do we do this" thought pops up a lot. A good XC run makes the long drives, early mornings, disappointing dressage, endless...
