Sadly, I was not there when the x-ray was taken. So am getting this second hand from the BM. All I know is that it's "non displaced," and the horse is currently on 2 months stall rest.

    No horses?

When I open the Canter Mid-Atlantic page, I'm told there are no horses available. Can that be right?

    EATING DIRT?

I've been hand-grazing my horse (who has a leg injury) and noticed her licking and then biting bare patches of earth. She has a salt block, so I don't think it's a mineral deficiency. Any ideas?

    Exuberance?

I've got a TB cross who has discovered "taking me" to a fence. That's wonderful, but sometimes she gets a little excited after the fence. Not exactly bucking, but thinking about it. I don't want to...

I have a horse who slept more than average in her turnout....scoping revealed ulcers. Don't know if there's a correlation or not.

Thanks to everyone! The saying "no hoof, no horse" applies to people, too!
And not all riders have ballet-dancer feet.

    Fat feet?

Does anyone have boot suggestions for the foot-challenged? Seriously, I have wide feet, and I can't afford to go the custom route. Might field boots run wider than dress?

    UNDERGOING ULCER TREATMENT?

Do you ride normally while your horse is on Gastrogard? Do you jump? Horse obviously feels better, but I don't want to complicate her recovery.

    BEHAVIOR ADVICE?

My young mare has started nibbling on my feet...when I'm in the saddle. She'll turn her head around and sort of chew on my toes. Of course, I discourage this, but I'm also wondering if it's...

    MONOFLAP STIRRUP LEATHERS?

What do you recommend for my new-to-me monoflap saddle? My old lined leathers are too thick...and it's starting to rub my leg.

    Black Country Saddles?

I recently sat in a friend's Ricochet...it was pretty comfortable. Does anyone have experience with this as a jump saddle?

    USED Voltaire Lexington

Do such things exist? Ever? If I understood the rep correctly, a used saddle starts at $4,000, which seems pretty high.

    Gel update

Tried one of the gel seat savers...it's quite heavy! And it might have worked but, sadly, it does not fit the saddle. If I put the saddle skirts in the pockets of the device, they get bent outwards....

I've body clipped twice (so far) with these. I find them easier to handle than the larger clippers, but they do clog. Also, it does take longer, since you're cutting a narrower track. So it's sort of...

Thanks for the input! I watched my trainer school her last week, and when they jumped a couple of training questions, she was more engaged, and really rounded over the fence. Fun to watch!

    BIGGER fences?

I've got a little horse (15.1 on a good day) who is dead honest....but shows little enthusiasm over small fences. She's competing at Novice, and doing well. But when the fences get bigger, she really...
