I switched to progressive this spring and have been very happy so far. I use the grass balancer and envision for the TBs. noticed a real change in hoof quality and growth, and they have been on...
Darrin-- YES, I've read that and a few other long rider books. I. Am always amazed how few COTH members have. Have you read, To Ride a White Horse?
I second the power washing. Take everything out and go to town. I promise it will take less time than any other method.
I also watch his videos and love them. Trying to learn!!
My TB gelding has a longish streak that is on his neck where a shot might have been given. It is always sweaty and different colored from his normal coat (grey). Asked the vet and she didn't know,...
Also, be sure you ask what discipline the d2 is for. Now pony club has standards for hunt seat, dressage, and western as well as traditional. Requirements will vary. Also, you are responsible for...
Also, a kid can retest a section or two if not up to snuff, so you don't have to fail them.
Not a fox hunter, but LOVE these vids!! AFH, you are the bomb!
Yes they work and my big TB stops when he hits the end of the rope. I no longer have to use it, but when you need them, they are fantastic.
If he is underweight TB why would you cut back on his grass? Fat easy keepers, yes, thin TBs, no.
Friend received this on dressage test in comments section under collective marks, rider.
"Needs to have NCG".
What on earth is that?
These were signs of laminitis in my horse who is IR. Hopefully not laminitis in your case, but they were exactly like what you described except only on front feet.
Once when I was doing a long distance haul, someone advised me to wet my shavings down well the night before. There was less dust and they still absorbed well. I have also heard to add ice in...
I can't believe that we are having THIS discussion. I think Jon Holling said it best when he said if we don't prevent catastrophic falls, we will not have a sport. Trying to remodel the sport for...
I use spray lube as well.
TexArk--You make a fair point; I just looked at my own state statute and it is perhaps vague and/or overbroad. That being said, it does appear to be a murky area.
Without having looked at all 50 statutes, doing fecals is not probably not practicing veterinary medicine as long as you don't diagnose, treat, or make recommendations. it is simply an egg count.
I do mine! Yes, the microscope and slides are the only real expense. Find a friend or vet tech to help you the first time. It's very easy!
Well I guess it depends on how big the trash can is, but I would guess you could fit 3-4 in the large cans. I have a friend who suggested it to me a few years ago, but I haven't done it myself. My...
Big galvanized metal trash can with lid.
I cannot go and I purchased my tickets ahead. No returns. I can fedex them tomorrow.
That's what I get for being an over-achiever:lol:
Not here yet in northern WI
Welcome to the PC family!! I was not lucky enough to be in PC, buy my children are. I am also the DC for our local club. Pony Club offers great opportunities and now Horsemasters...
You might consider becoming a Pony Club center. You pay an annual fee, get insurance through PC, get a prepared curriculum, and some of your marketing is already done for you.
I have no idea, but I am leaning toward toxicity of some kind.
