Has he been dewormed with Zimectrin Gold lately?
Poor boy! I'd be making all his meals into a soupy mash and soaking his hay to allow him to eat more comfortably until he heals. :(

I know Farm and Fleet carries Cough Free, so that's definitely an option.
-
Because I prefer to try non-prescription things first, before pulling out the "big guns". :D

Alas, my mare's the only one with allergies!
I looked up the ingredients to Air Power..
"Honey, apple cider vinegar, aloe vera, ethyl alcohol, menthol, lemon juice, oil of eucalyptus."

I'd like to try something non-prescription first if I can help it, but I'll definitely keep that in mind, thanks for the info! :)
-
Interesting! That would definitely be cost efficient! :)

Is it a syrup or liquid? I loooooooooove Finish Line products! :D

I don't think my mare would object to getting pudding..:lol:

Good to know, I may have to try it! :) Do you have to feed a lot of it?

I'm researching it now, thanks!

Is it palatable? Miss diva mare is REALLY picky.

I am so so sorry for your loss.
I do think the fact that the vet said they had never seen anything quite like what they found in the necropsy, and that they'll be doing a case study on it, is a...

IT WORKED FOR MY HUSBAND'S FRIEND'S SISTER'S DOG'S WALKPINTALOOSABRED!

The summary:
ACK! Horse has ulcers? Treatment?
Ulcerguard! Gastroguard! :D
GG costs HOW MUCH?!
Alternatives to Ga$troguard?! :o

Sweet itch really sucks, doesn't it? :(
This is my mare's regimen to keep it at bay:
1. Flax seed, at least 1/3 cup. She's getting 1/2 cup at the moment. I feed it whole and unsoaked, works...

Like others said, just get the flavored, powdered bute and put it in a ziploc with the horse's grain, so all the barn folks have to do is just dump the baggy.
Any horse crazy teenage girls at your...
