Wasn't he in California awhile back? There was a thread here some time ago, I think it'll give you all the information you need...
-
So what *is* being recommended for those with lax stifles?
-
-
 That's weird, I always get mine the next day...
-
To get this thread back on track: Horseman's lab wants "re-checks" done at 3 weeks but JB (and others) do them at 2 weeks. With ERT's becoming shorter and shorter, I wonder if 2 weeks is better and...
-
Why would you ask this question?
-
This. Seriously, AT, go watch the webinars on thehorse.com and then re-read this thread. NO one is advocating over de-worming or excessive de-worming. In fact, it's just the opposite, but not...
-
Just wormed the little bugger today with Equimax and made sure I got the weight right...maybe a bit over to be sure.;) Will let you all know what things look like in 3 weeks.:)
-
Hmm, didn't know that, learned something new here... Just to be clear, mine have been administered by me as a paste and I always make sure it doesn't get spit out. I wouldn't feed a daily wormer....
-
Yes, and yes. I feed the super supplement and the babies as well as the mature horses seem to do well on it.
-
Thomas..."injectable wormer"...what do you mean by that?
-
Well, I may be totally screwed on ascarids as well because NO VET has ever told me to double dose pp or fen....so I haven't. Also, it doesn't ever freeze here, lol, so....??? I *have* to...
-
So would a good plan then be to dose with Equimax now, then tapes are covered too? That's my thinking anyway...but now he's just over a year old so we're off the monthly protocol, right? ...
-
How come he can't just stay at the place he's happily lived for 7 years? Am I missing something?
-
I'd really like to see the proof on that.
I'd really like to know her sources as well. Of course folks need to understand how to maintain/clean their pastures. The practice of just...

:) It was back in June and with Oxibendazole. Ivermectin the month before that. Horseman's Lab wanted me to not de-worm for 12 weeks and then do the FEC. I re-watched the webinar on thehorse.com and...
-
So we did a FEC count on a yearling at the farm today. This little guy has been in my care his whole life and I've administered all but 2 of his de-wormers. We've done the monthly deworming...

When I rode him his name was "Grand Prix". That was a fun name because at one of the shows he scored 70% in one of his classes. So I walked around telling people, "Hey, I rode Grand Prix and got a...
-
Well, I don't have him anymore but rode an imported 4 year old gelding by Granulit several years ago then he was sold to someone in Virginia. He was BIG, gray (suprise! lol) and very good/quiet. He...

I'm curious as to what type of selenium you supplemented with?? From what I've read, unless it's propaganda lol, selenium yeast is the best absorbed....and that's only made by 3 companies that I...

I'll PM you with the details, he's pretty cool.;) And yes, I think you *have* found it with the D's you have. In fact, one of these days my D mare may have to have a date night with your boy...if...

Have one we'll be starting in the next month or so. He'll go in a euroriding jumping saddle and then next year when he's more muscled up a Custom Saddlery dressage saddle.
-
As usual, I agree with what exvet has to say, so no suprise there. And, of course, she knows to call me if she finds that "special" Welsh pony. (has to be a large, though, I'm not as tiny as...
-
Ok, first of all it's "Welsh" not "welch"...that's the grape juice. I'm thinking you haven't seen many of the Welsh ponies because that's not a fault that I see very often in them. Other...

When I called EMO to ask them about this, they said that some companies have already and that most will do so. I don't know if this was an effort made to calm me down or if it's true. I'm VERY...
