Here's a good place to look...
I lived in the area as a kid. You'll enjoy it!:)
So sad to report that Z Fortune colicked recently. He did not make it.
I couldn't bear to read the whole thread because it's so apples and oranges to me. I don't give a rat's a$$ about proper dressage or helmets or not, and I consider myself to be one of the helmet...
Are you acquainted with Person X?
I had a bad wreck on a sale horse I was trying that bolted. I was never told of the bolting problem. That horse was later sold to a new rider in the same barn. ...
I just emailed that link to around ten people. Hilarious!
That's my favorite breed. Built very uphill.
Hilda has school horses, and her prices are really fair.
Where aren't there dressage lessons in the Somis area? I don't know all the trainers, but there is El Sueno, Keenridge where Hilda Gurney trains, Spirit Equestrian, White Birch, Marie Meyers...I...
Whicker has a thread over on the disabilities forum where she is looking for a para saddler. You might want to post what you know over on that thread. It looks like a gorgeous saddle.
The sellers have good reasons to be slow about responding to my inquiries. I still don't even know the tree size yet. Wish I could speed things up.:sigh:
I just ordered a pair of endurance stirrups for my saddle because of discomfort caused by keeping my heels down. I found that Mary's Tack carries a variety of different stirrups that you may want to...
In that case, then I can say that the one Crosby CC saddle I tried on my horse was too curvy for his back, so maybe??
There are some threads on here somewhere about saddles for the short backed horse. Maybe someone mentioned that saddle in one of them.
I noticed Passier just came out with a new saddle...
Two brands I would recommend are Red Barn and Aramas. The leather quality is outstanding but the price is reasonable.
It's cruel to put shoes on such a horse. Let him go barefoot. He'll be much happier.
What year would that be? Is that why older Passiers are often advertised as a PS Baum, which is actually the type of tree?
I should find out all the relevant details this week.
...in a couple of months after your brain has healed, because another concussion right now would cause permanent damage and getting on any horse right now is risking that.
2ndyrgal, your post was...
What, like a hundred years ago?:D
Pictures are on their way of the billets, gullet, and serial number. I can't wait! Seller says it's from the 1980's, but with the serial number, I can find...
These look interesting.
Any reason why they wouldn't be safe for riding in the ring?
Is there any reason you can't take vicodin? You can cut them in half. You still get the pain relief without the other side affects.
I have pain from other causes, not related to my knees, but I...
First I want to say that I agree with others who have said that it doesn't sound like this horse is dangerous.
But the biggest issue in your post is the concussion you sustained.
Your brain is...
Bunion, er, I mean, bump.
My left foot is killing me after I ride.
I have a bunion. There, I said it.
Has anyone found a stirrup or stirrup pad that helps with the pressure? I ride in knock-off jointed stirrups. I...
