Yeah, I'm confused as to this statement when I don't even know who this is!
I'm a professional but I think the Masterson method is ok for some, I never got into it.
However, as others have said, hiring a professional can really help you learn about trouble spots.
FYI many Dollar Stores sell little square or round containers with lids that are the same size as a Smart Pak well and you get 8 cups for a dollar. I use these for my horses' bulk supplements. They...
Wow, how insulting.
You don't know anything about me, or how many kids/beginners I have personally helped!?!
I'm surprised at how many people will insert themselves uninvited to this...
I'm not sure exactly why the trainer is not being consulted here?
"Pennywell Bay;8423236]I agree. I guess I'm having a hard time wrapping my head around not wanting to help a child"
?? why would someone *want* to help?
Here is why I say this:
No one is...
I admire his seat and talent, not his methods. I think you can read a page of a book and not want to buy the book.
Anyone have a cost per session? i could not find it on her website.
Eh, it depends. I know a LOT of people who ride dressage and don't use a flash.
Just because it's your experience does not make it universal.
I'll use it if the horse needs it, otherwise they...
Same here, took forever, but the items are great so I'd order from them again even with the delay.
They outlast every other company hands down, though I have not tried Quillian halters- which...
And no, I wouldn't think twice about showing in a loose ring, assuming everything was traditional otherwise.
Loose ring, as in the typical KK bits used in dressage?
99.999% of dressage people use Loose Rings, and never ever have bit guards. Ever.
If properly fitted there is no need for a bit guard....
I'm not sure what makes the boarder so evil???
She wants to get her horse back into work, her choice. She doesn't owe you 30 days and can't read your mind on what you want.
I bet trainer said...
I thought it was not a wise idea to ride after grain-- at least wait 30 mins?
Most horses do get free choice hay, right? isn't that a better option to have in the stomach?
The AC needs to interperet things like "beer". It's not like a direct translation from horse to owner. It's mostly IMHO/Expereince impressions, feelings, and images.
I asked if there was one...
Reminds me of dressage where both horse and rider are always being judged. I think it is a super idea :)
its the total package I have a problem with-- the dull look, the over-use of the curb/tie downs, and horses afraid to do anything wrong leading to the frozen/stilled gaits and expression.
I've boarded at barns with WP people, as a MT I've worked on them.
I can't stand WP.
I don't see the free but slower movement of the foals being translated over.
you guys are a bit rabid over this guy, it's a bit odd.
I can see getting the word out, but it's out! Oh boy is it out!
I decided on brown...
I don't know what makes me happy, that is why I ASKED! :)
As a dressage rider, it looks to me like they can't sit properly.
I wasn't talking about showing, and I don't think anyone here would disagree with you.
Saying it doesn't matter in showing results doesn't mean it doesn't matter in general.
Right, but its ok to match and place importance on how the horse is presented.
As I posted above, I'm considering spending $ on a new saddle so it's important that I feel good about the color.
Bumping up- this thread... have to ask a color question. I can choose between black and chocolate brown for my saddle. My horse is a chestnut pinto- bright copper, not dark brown.
I have a black...
I believe that part of owning a horse is also doing things like massage, chiro, saddle fit, and some sort of training. it helps keep the horse healthy and free from injury, and small things are dealt...
