So cool! Must be nice to have him in your backyard again :).
There are great deals right now on Mountain Horse Supremes. I got a pair on TOTD, and they are so tall. I will have to sell them. SP has a size 9 left. I will sell you mine for $25 less than SP,...
Teddy O'Connor used to compete in a Duo. Not sure if the rules have changed since then.
I would use stone dust.
So sorry for her friends and family. Thank you for letting us know Laurierace.
6 3/4 in all other helmets. XS in my Tipperary Sportage. Love it!
Not to mention, it is expensive to keep an older horse pasture sound. My horse is on daily previcox and monthly polyglcan. I am happy to do that for him, but for someone else's horse? No, no so...
The problem is that horses given away as companions often end up at auction or subject to horrific neglect.
I have my old guy at home. If I could not afford that or a real (and I mean not cheap) retirement facility, I would put him down.
Forgot to add, have you tried a Miklem? The combination of the Miklem and the Myler, really made my fat-tongued horse much more comfortable.
I have not read the whole thread, but as my horse aged, his mouth changed. I played around and actually spoke with Dale Myler, and this bit made him comfortable. Added benefit, you can rent it from...
Frugal Annie, you do not want to know the travails I had with the Cons Com.
That was not even an article IMHO, just a bunch of statements.
So FrugalAnnie, not too far south of you. My horse is heavy, and I have an in and out situation set up for him. The water in the buckets in the barn does freeze, but they have an outside heated...
I would pay for the repair, have the trailer guy do it, and never lend the trailer again. It would be good karma for her to kick in, but if she doesn't want that responsibility, then she cannot use...
My horse wears an 80" in most blankets. He wears a 78" wug, and a 75" in most Rambos.
I try to reproof with spray-on NikWax, but I have used Camp Dry on occasion.
My Rambos are used about 10 months of the year. One is at least 10 years old, and the other even older. Never leaked except where it creeps in at the neck. I wash and reproof annually.
GMHA has a camp.
Totally normal. Before having kids, nothing fazed me. Post kids, I was a lot more risk averse. I was eventing, and the minute the jumps went above 3', I got really nervous.
My F250 1999 gas truck did something like that, and it was a coil pack? Not sure if the diesel has the same set-up.
Will do. It's a work in progress. I would love to use a grid like light foot but I need something now before the ground freezes. I have used small remnants of stall mat in this area in the past, and...
Thanks all. Took the advise and moved some older stall mats in front of the stall doors. Will keep you posted as to how well it works:
The reason I was going to put stone dust on top is to avoid slipping when there is rain followed by a freeze.
