Does anyone know the actual name of the material that the 'vinyl' tack boxes are covered in? Or suppliers of the material other then Oakcroft, McGuinn and Phoenix West?
Eskadrons. I use them for schooling, or they double as show boots on wet muddy show days.
I did pick up a set of Equifit D Teq boots, and have only used them at a few shows so far but I don't...
I know a horse that had to be switched to alfalfa cubes and corn oil (+ multi vitamin). They did 30 days of 1 full tube of Gastrogard. The vet's said that the corn oil was good to coat the stomach....
Horses wouldn't be showing every week. I was looking for a maximum dollar amount.
What should someone expect to spend on entries (not including stabling) for 12 weeks of WEF for 2 horses; one showing in Adults & 1st Yr Pre Green, and one showing 1.10/1.20m jumpers?
How much is...
Boot socks. I love getting boot socks because it's something I always forget to buy myself when shopping half the time.
I wouldn't think anyone was owed a commission if you found the horse on your own. I would think you would just pay for any time or lessons, pro rides involved.
Typically if there is any commission...
Are top quality American hunters even 'American'? Most come from Europe don't they?
I've seen horses jumping 1.40 meter with extremely obvious string halt at the walk (both hind), but you wouldn't even notice when they are cantering or trotting. One of those horses I know has been...
Interesting. And a multi-vitamin as well?
I'd take a regular riding helmet over one of those any day!
It doesn't look to be too comfortable, and what about doing 2-point in something like that. I hate having stuff around my neck now as it...
As mentioned above, back at the knee would concern me more.
Plenty of horses are over at the knee and go strong into their 20's with no issues. I find a lot of horses that are over at the knee...
I wish I had time to start a new line of breeches. Creating a product wouldn't be an issue but I would have absolutely no time to market.
I was shopping for breeches the other day and was wondering everyone else's shopping style, complaints, Etc. I suppose I should answer my own questions:
What is the number one thing that makes...
I am trying to compile a list of all the different brands of breeches that are popular in the hunter and jumper rings. So far I have the following:
Custom Riding Apparel
To those that feed Amplify, and have tried rice bran. How much Amplify do you find that you need to feed to do the same job as 2 cups of rice bran?
I dislike this product, they are annoying to put on and take off. They are not easier, nor do they do a better job than regular wrapping.
If you are not confident in wrapping try something like...
This is my thought. I've watched many brilliant jumpers become dull plodding around 2'6 forever but some people seem so hung up on the baby green division.
IME Amplify tends to make horses hotter.
What is the desired career path for young hunters that are to be marketed towards children and amateurs?
How important are those under 3' divisions? Would it be awful to start a young horse in the...
So you feed 2 cups just with breakfast, or 1 cup twice daily? How long did it take for you to see results of weight gain?
Those of you that feed stabilized rice bran, how much are you feeding per day?
What is the most you've fed per day, and what is the least?
How little is too little to even bother feeding?
Almost 100%, it's up high. Shoulder is always stiff when the chiropractor is out, but as I mentioned in my first post, it is never completely right even after chiro.
I haven't thought about trying a massage therapist. Do stiff shoulders usually tend to be in the muscle or joint?
I've got a horse with a stiff shoulder. It looks better for a few days after chiro, but not 100%. This horse isn't a great mover at the trot anyway so it is always hard to tell how 'off' she is.
