I just saw this thread and was SO excited...then I realized it was you. Lol!
How unfortunate! I was definitely a Coconut Grove fan. :(
My condolences to his "family"
I would definitely want to know. I keep careful track of all of my "kids" and sincerely hope that someone would let me know if one of them ended up in a less than ideal situation.
I'm just now reading this thread and it brought back all of the feelings from when I had to put down my first horse. My dream horse. I cried reading every page.
My sincerest condolences. I loved...
Farnley Magic Flute. He turned 23 this year. Love that guy!
Gretchen, you are out of control. I love it.
Oh my. Melissa, I am so sorry. He was such a nice stallion and it was obvious how much you adored him.
Godspeed, handsome boy.
Thanks! They've been doing an amazing job with him. They are the nicest people and I'm so glad that he's with them. They sent me pictures yesterday of him all settled in. :)
Not going myself, but my pony (Fenway Armani) and the kids leasing him will be there.
Good luck to everyone going!! :)
Oooh. Well, we'll hear more from her!
I agree. 100%.
I don't know who bought her, but she was LOVELY. I'd be interested to find out too.
Even the Farnley As move like hunter ponies. You can almost always pick out a Farnley or Farnley-bred A at the Welsh shows. And their A line (with Flute being 12.1) tends to produce pretty decent...
That's a misprint. It should be Shenandoah. The dam listed is incorrect too. Silk Slipper is lovely. I may smuggle her out.
Yes, the plan is to keep him intact. Nice, nice mover.
Very true. At the Welsh shows, you are either under 12.2 or over. Hershell did tell me that they are trying to take size into consideration more now and having Triton being such a good sized medium...
Benlea Cookie sold for $900, open.
We brought home Shenandoah Silver Sail. I asked Karen about the dam's bloodlines and she is actually Shenandoah Silk Slipper (dam also of Ladyslipper, hip #31) so...
Hahahahaha. Abby, I like your thinking!
I just told Mike the other day that if they keep on the same schedule, the next one will be right after he finishes his residency and comes back to VA. ...
I will be there! I bought two at the last one (Shenandoah Dulcimer and Shenandoah Fantasia) but since one was the boyfriend's pony and we've seen gone separate ways, I think I deserve another. ;)
You guys look great. She IS so shiny and I love her markings. :)
She's pushing twenty now. Still a lovely mare though.
That makes me happy. :)
Annie is actually by a son of Trefaes Taran, Glenhaven Taran to a Tea. Taran passed on last year. You are more than welcome to breed her back to Tea.
Ariel's sire, Triton...
I have a lovely 7 year old grey Welsh mare that I would like to lease out for a year or two. She's by Elite Earl Grey and out of Adrienne's Jewel (dam of Wellen Red Rock and Wellen Rosetta). She's...
Bump! She is still available. :)
