That is cookiepony's site! It wouldn't surprise me if there were a couple other COTHers on there, too.
A couple of my students have signed up for the test run as well and they are really enjoying...

Cathy Wieschhoff told me at the training 3 day to use sore no more (spray) liberally on legs, cover with baby powder to make a "paste" if you will and wrap over that. No scrubbing in the morning, no...

$5000 for a draft cross that can jump is not totally insane. Draft crosses tend to be easy to sell for a pretty good amount of money.
Not always, but most of the time.

Jim is still great, but this thread is from 2009.

It is my understanding that the sizes changed a bit after some of the early bridles came out, it might be worth buying another one to see.

We do match the clock jumpers at 2'6" and below. Closest to optimum wins.

I aim for six jumps, but doesn't always go as planned. Trot the crossrail just to get their attention, canter it, canter the vertical twice, oxer twice and done. We try to jump the vertical and oxer...

I agree (I believe she was mid- ponyKICK!), but when I'm running XC my leg isn't always where it should be. ;)

One of my teen student's rubberband broke (dry rot) while she was having a dressage lesson the other day and it definitely caused a moment of  when her foot popped out the stirrup. I always...

A year and a half ago, I would have said no, because everything with four white feet in my barn is a pain in the butt as far as feet and shoeing.
BUUUUT... I bought an appy with three white feet...

Enjoytheride nailed what I was trying to explain. We can fight and fight and fight and unless she learns to give, nothing can be accomplished- she has to find a way to relax those resistance muscles....

Answers like this make me appreciate you all the more, DW!

The first part is a good point and she may like the baucher for the steadyness.
The second part wasn't asked for, but you're right, and frankly, the mare DOES need to learn to "set her head"...

My draftie cross mare has a short thick neck and throat latch. We've been butting heads in dressage for coming two years and managed to squeak by in BN because she had good gaits, but N has been...

Stace, if you're looking for some extra saddle time, I have a couple of trail horses who are steady and could handle some trot/canter work just to get you in better shape! I've got a nifty little...

Image of the King aka "Noodles" is a lovely 8 year old TB gelding. He was bought to be an eventer for a young teen and has had two months professional training with Kyle Carter. After this, he...

My trainer clarified it for me by telling me to keep a "connection" over the fence.

FWIW, If I'm taking students to a local show, I will not to bring a horse. Too much chaos. If we're traveling, I usually try to bring one to make it more more worth my time/expense, but do not ask...

I made one of my students ride WITH bungee cords after reading the article! I loffed it.
-
There's a whole series of pics of him in Carissa's album. He's loffly.

Of course, its our home event, so we school most everything, but the N is straight forward but BIG. I consider everything on MTPC's courses pretty stout- there don't have much for gimme fences....
-
If my trainer is riding, we don't pay her expenses for being there, and sign up on a per warmup/course walk basis.
If she's not riding, the same per warmup/course walk applies, and we split her...
-
Phew... sorry you had such a rough weekend, but I admire your attitude toward the whole thing!
-
As far as I know, there is no gate to keep you off the grounds, so as soon as a member of MTPC is there to open the gate to the infield, you can ride- so unless something tragic happens, you should...

Doesn't this conversation get old Kate?
I have a pretty good idea of what BN pace feels like. I don't wheel my course, I write optimum time on my arm and try to come in before it. I wear a watch...
