I have ridden in some slick saddles and cleaning with Effax Combi and a little sponge helps to add some tack (not a soap fan), and then conditioning (rub in with your hands) with Passier Lederbasalm...

Not a fan of the velvet helmet look. Nor do I like shiny helmets.

I have a CO AYR8 in black/black. I do like the matte appearance and it fits my oval head perfectly. I also show hunters, so works...

Not sure I can stop panicing, but I will definitely use it and hopefully it will be a bit more brown. I do know I didn't transform it into black, I just don't want it to look black. Thanks.

Just purchased a new ADT Gazelle bridle to use as new show bridle. I oiled it with a hand towel and it turned a nice dark brown. I used it a few times to help break it in. But then I wasn't happy...
