I've just started collecting stirrup cups and other hunt related items. Please let me know what you're doing, as I'd be interested in taking a look.
I wish both Rich and Cedric (never thought I'd put them in the same sentence) speedy recoveries from broken ribs!
How come there are no shout-outs to Karl Cook? That kid rode the course as well as anyone (including McLain AND BEEZIE) and no one seems to notice! He and Jonkheer looked very impressive. Nice to...
Sorry to ask, but where is it on their website? I looked after your post but couldn't find anything. Thanks.
Thought I saw that it started at 6 pm.
The North American West Coast League points are so close so the class really mattered.
John Madden is right to point out that there are many bright young talents coming up the ranks, but anyone who follows Rolex/USET rankings would be quite aware of that. Just look at the top 20...
That was an amazing partnership. End of an era.
Don't worry about entries. Riders aren't entering now for a class in 3 weeks. Battle of Sexes is gimmicky. Try for the real grand prix. Night classes can be exciting and there will be 40+ in...
Try FEI tv. I believe that they are broadcasting it. Great show.
I couldn't agree with BAC more. While Reed made the team, she didn't bring home a medal. Rich Fellers brought back the World Cup back to the US after 25 years. Now that's a great year!
Well, hunterrider23, he has a twin brother, so if OP doesn't work out, you could always try for Nicola! They're both showing tonight.
Does anyone know what time grand prix starts?
Hunterrider23 -- so who's going to win the grand prix? You nailed this class!
I, too, started crying when Elizabeth Benson won. Well deserved to a lovely person and great rider!
Meg also got very deep to a 3rd fence. Not her best! Michael Hughes was great. They all ride with such long stirrups.
I think that Elizabeth Benson just got her first "eq finals" blue!!!
I know I'm late to this, but who are the commentators?
Did not see that coming! Poor Scott -- he's just not meant to win this.
Liza's trip looked amazing on Brunello. And he jumps!
I also thought that the horse broke to a trot. Am I the only one who finds this course not particularly pretty to watch? I would rather see something that showed off beautiful jumping than one...
Super congratulations to Lucy Deslauriers for winning the USEF Pony Medal! She definitely has the right genes for equitation -- can't wait to see her to big eq in the future.
I hope she wins. She's certainly a great rider and has the grit necessary to get the job done. If she does then she will have won both the junior and young riders divisions. I doubt many can boast...
Are A/O riders allowed to compete on other people's horses? Kaitlin Campbell placed 1st and 2nd in Vermont GP this weekend. Article mentioned that she was taking her trainer's horse to Young Riders....
The website www.sprucemeadows.com is somewhat complicated and not very user friendly. You will need to long on to the "Tournaments" and then pick the week. The National was last week and this week...
There are 2 1.60M classes, Husky Energy Classic on Thursday at 7pm, and CN Performance GP WC Qualifier on Saturday at 2:30. (It is Mountain Time)
Just curious to see what others are thinking about the trials. With several horses who couldn't make the trials or got byes, do we consider past performance or just who's hot now?
