Good luck! It's bad enough waiting for a bridle which is late, let alone semem. Hope she catches! :)

What on earth is your problem?

I could be wrong (it was a while ago) but I'm sure Rue wasn't numbed for his. I can only speak for him, as both the mares already had theirs when I bought them. He didn't really react at all. It did...

As an aside, we typically don't tranq horses here for a freeze mark (brand). All of mine are done, and they didn't seem bothered about it. My young mare is also microchipped, and the vet warned me...

I had to laugh. I did the same thing with Rue last summer. Bless, he did the 'I wanna move but I won't' foot hop.
One of my fave things to do is pony a young horse. They learn so much! :D

I clip tails. I hate pulling tails- it makes me feel evil.
Actually, my mare went with a plaited tail. It really suited her. :)
-
Yep, use them on my youngster and they fit great! :)

Could be way off base here, but couldn't you host your own inspection? I'm assuming if the inspectors will go to one farm, that they'll go to another. I imagine that you're not the only person who...

She looks fantastic. I'd never have guessed that she was 21. I wish I'd done this for my special mare now. It was a fantastic idea! :D

It would put me off. It would make me wonder if you had the cash to pay for decent equipment, stalls etc.
Like another poster said, marketing works. You have to give your clients the idea that...

Jingles. I have a grand old mare myself. She evented up to intermeidate before she had a freak accident and bowed a tendon. I retired her at 14, and will keep her as long as she's happy and healthy....

I agree with everything that has been said. At this level, I don't worry about where the head is too much- I just want them balanced, forward and in a good rythem. Those things tend to come together...

Love them! I'm very lucky; I live less than an hour away from a Rice dealer. IME, treat them right and they'll last a lifetime.

I wouldn't. For me, the white braids are for the higher levels. Give him nice braids that show off his neck best, make him super clean and shiny and that's your turnout sorted.
Good luck!

I read that when I was about... 13. Good book. :) ;)

Yes!! Fly by Night... roan pony. I loved those books. Still have them somewhere.
I'd also take any of the horses from Carolyn Akrill's eventing series, or the stunt horses from the Stars series....

I got a 19 once... and had thee stops on XC. I've had a 22 since then, but most of them are in the 30's. Dressage isn't my strongest phase.
