    As long as there is nothing in the trough to turn the water bad they will drink it . I must confess I clean my troughs maybe 2x a year. Never stops anyone from drinking what they need.

    How true it is. Shedding is up to the individual horse. I had one that would hang on to his "under belly" hair for ever. No amount of brushing would get rid of it until he was good and ready.
