Sorry, I haven't read the whole thread but I thought I would throw in some of my personal experience. A couple of years ago I broke my right arm, pretty badly actually. I had a splint for 1 1/2...

My leg is slipping back, but they are still just really cool looking, lol.
An Al Capony was just at my barn, but he has left for retirement. When I first heard the name, I couldn't stop laughing.

Well, My horse and I would be doing the next division at 2'6'' than of the 2' beginner division we do now, if only he was more reliable on his lead changes. My horse isn't ready to move up yet, and...

Always. I've fallen enough times for them to be of great use to me:D . Not to mention one of my last falls included my helmet being smashed, glad it wasn't my head :lol: ....

I always wear my helmet, you never know when something might spook or scare your horse, and you will end up on the ground.
Although I don't agree with everything your trainer is saying, I also think she has the best interests for your daughter.
