My two are very vocal and always want the last word, but they don't so much meow, but chirp and meep. My roommate and her two drive me nutty sometimes. Hers are elderly siblings and deaf, so they...
I waited until I retired from the Navy before I got my first tattoo, then 5 more over the course of two years. (My nephew is a tattoo artist.) I kept to the same theme. The first was a dragonfly on...
I've been the point keeper at my barn's IEA shows for the past few years. I like the format. It's an excellent option for kids who don't own or lease their own horse - and easier on the purse. (Our...
I was laughing too hard at the kitten channeling its inner tiger to bring down its prey.
You chose the right trainer for her. I board my horse there and just happened to show up around the time you went in to pet and lead her. There really isn't anything not to like about this mare....
Yes. It's obligatory with the rat-tailed mare.
I had a trainer incorporate drill team exercises in her group lessons. It was fun.
I started it today. It was fun!
Same here. I only give a treat when we're finished work and I turn her out. As soon as the halter is off, she turns her head away and makes "cookie faces" while I dig the treat out of my pocket.

I guess that's the cowboy version of "Snakes on a Plane".
Before I moved in January, my two (sisters) had two boxes - they peed in one, pooped in the other. My roommate's pair (also sisters) had the same set -up - they also peed in one, pooped in the...
Jessiesgrrl = I wish I could get another rider to go out with me! I mentioned my plan to a couple of gals at my barn, and the consensus seems to be that they'll wait to see how it goes with me...
All very good suggestions! Thank you very much, everyone!
Due to some changes, I will have no choice but to ride out on local roads. My only other options (at the moment) are a rather small arena or a round pen, access to which will be 'iffy' over the next...
My guess is Shetland/Welsh. Very cute.
My roommate has a pair of female siblings (Amanda and Trixie). They're 16 and doing great. My pair of siblings (Lily and Daisy) are only 3. We call mine "the girls" and hers "the ladies."

Smoking. At today's prices, that's a monthly board check.
And next thing my horse will be asking for an allowance.
On those days when my breathing is compromised, I trot when I can, with lots of transitions down to walking circles, serpentines and leg yielding.
I don't think this has anything to do with left or right - looks like wealth envy.
