My source has seen many, many more than a dozen and breeds Hanoverians in Germany. I'm just relaying what I was told. And ... it was just someone else's opinion so take it for what it's worth.

I heard from an experienced German breeder that his foals were a bit disappointing. My understanding by this comment was that he wasn't consistently stamping his foals.
-
Agreed.
It drives me nuts when I see photos which have been modified by tilting it in an effort to make the horse look like it is traveling uphill.

Good question. Perhaps the requirement for all stallions (US and Canada) to be tested would allow everyone to breath a little easier. I think it should be mandatory for at least the stallions who do...

San Miranda, stories like yours touch my soul. You are truly blessed.

I have a Samarant youngster - a coming 2 year old. He's such a love. When I pet him or scratch his shoulder (i'm standing in front of him), he wraps his long neck around me and gives me a hug. He...

My friend's DeNiro mare crossed well with Rohdiamant. Since he's not available with frozen semen, she bred her to Royal Diamond. She produced a licensed stallion son by Rosario in Germany. That...

RD frozen semen quality is excellent. A friend of mine bred her Deniro mare to him and she was pregnant first try on one dose.
I love greys. :D

Thanks for sharing the photos.

OMG! That's a parent's worst nightmare.
Many jingles for Anna Lisa and sending cyber hugs for Bonnie.

Awwwwwwe! Poor thing! I'd pick her up but she's too far from me. I've got 3 empty stalls. I would fatten her up and find her a good and loving home.
Actually, if she was fed...

I LOVED the movie! I cried at the end.
Hugh Jackman did a great rollback [or spin?] on horseback while herding the cattle in one scene. If that was actually him riding ... WOW!
Nala was...

If American breeders stop breeding quality horses now, we will lose whatever ground we gained and when the economy rebounds, buyers will once again turn to Europe for their horses.
If you must...

After your mare has been vaccinated against EVA, her [antibody] titer will forever show positive for EVA but it does NOT mean that the mare is forever EVA positive. Mares cannot shed the virus...

Thanks! I'd love that! sherry at graystonefarm.com
Thank you!
He's close enough for the mare to be shipped to him for breeding. ;) But I'd be curious about his recent success rate with...

Can you tell me about your All the Gold foals/mares?

Are all hoods [brands] interchangeable? I was hoping to find an Amigo hood to make sure that it attaches properly.
-
But I need a purple neck cover to match his purple blanket. I can't find one anywhere!
-
Laurie, where did you find your hood?
-
Oh no! I'm so very, very sorry for your loss.
RIP Reggie.

Thank you! I'm sure Maybach would love to live in Florida. She's a super good girl.
Florida sounds pretty good to me too considering we've already seen snow this year.

This may be helpful info for someone else with yearlings ....
My yearling (17 months old) is a true 16.2h but is still narrow through his shoulders. The Amigo (81) fits him perfectly! I bought...

I've found the same to be true.
Mine get turned out daily rain or shine. I only blanket in severely cold weather or wet/cold weather. The Rhino and Rambo high neck blankets have fit the best.
