So cute!
I love the baby-horse lead changes.

I'm quite familiar with Diane and have cliniced with her a couple of times.
Disappointing about the 3'6 minimum, so I'll opt for auditing instead.
-
Sorry to derail, but ElementFarm your signature line is hilarious!
Carry on.

I'm planning to go the second week of Spring Spectacular...but y'all are making me reconsider. Maybe I'll drop by the first week and see how it looks.

Wow! What a fantastic write-up! Thanks for sharing. I've saved this to my favorites so I can work on some of these exercises over the summer.

Thanks, everyone!
Goodlife, I read (and really enjoyed) your blog. You may be an amateur, but you are in a different class from me!!!!! I assure you George will not compliment me on my perfect...

I think the OP is saying they can't find general rules about attire for hunters. There are rules in the eq section, but the only rules they can find in the hunter section are for formal attire or...

ElementFarm - I saw an ad in the USHJA email newsletter. Diane Carney is hosting. Here's a link:

I apologize if this has been addressed...couldn't find it via the search function.
GM will be doing a clinic in my area in September. I'd like to ride with him, but I'm wondering if it's a good...

Thanks for sharing your blog. Sounds like you are a terrific rider!
-
I feel for you in this very difficult situation. Honestly, I think you should stop riding this horse before he hurts you or permanently damages your confidence
You can either work with your vet to...

Last Fall, I made October "No Stirrups Month". I took my stirrups off my saddle for all but one ride. It helped a lot and I need to do it again.
I find taking the stirrups off the saddle makes it...

This.
I always say, that's why they're called 'Tailored' Sportsman. Look inside the waistband - they are designed to be easily taken in or let out. Voila - custom breeches!

St Louis! Totally worth the drive!

Here are a few of my faves (trying to fit your requirement for one word, elegant names)...
Some of them are pretty common, so check usef.org or your local association to see if there's already...

Wilkers - but wash it before you show. Learned that the hard way...lint all over my horse. Looked like it snowed on him. :-)

double s, do not be afraid!
The bridle in my profile pic is an Edgewood. Dark, chocolately, and yummy!

I have a pair of extra-long plaited reins that, in theory, could probably extend that long. So, despite the degree of stupidity and danger, I suppose it's physically possible.
-
It's not hard to imagine the reins getting caught around the rider's neck if the horse were to spook or fall.
Many parents have no idea how dangerous this is and are trusting their child's safety...

I'm 5'5" and 1....well, never mind how much I weigh. :-)
RJ's are sized like regular clothes - 2,4,6,8,10, etc. You're probably a size 4 or 4L...or maybe even a 2L depending on your build. I...

Seriously, you will love it.
I wear it all the time. I've worn it at St Louis, Gulfport, Kentucky, and Lamplight. I just packed it up to wear at St Louis this weekend. I've worn it with a...

Buy it! Buy it right now and don't look back!
I have that same coat and love, love, love it! The herringbone is very subtle. The navy is very dark. It's classic. You can wear it with...

Hi, Ibex! I just posted on TOC. Same reco as eqrider...check out smart pak. I think your horse would be really cute with a wide noseband.

I know I'm late to the party, but I think braiding is a big part of the tradition and making your hunter look beautiful. For many people competing at A and AA shows, the braiding economics are not a...

Still confused. The link points me to the Sterling style, which does not seem to be available in beige - it lists stone or khaki. At Horseman's Outlet, the styles are HITS, Oaks, Sierra, WEF, and...
