Sure. But rather than saying that the JC has no idea about color genetics, you must realize that they don't care. TB's are a breed identified solely by bloodlines. performance is important, color is...

I always like keeping the JC name. That way if a person really likes her, or if she's a world beater, they can find her relatives. It's good for her whole family if she keeps her name.

Check the date of maunfacture on that $89 helmet. I tried one on at Equine Affaire this fall and it was older than the 5 year old helmet I was trying to replace! The salesperson didn't know that...
-
A few points:
If it was "OK" to wear the $40 approved helmets (which pass the exact same standard as the $$$ ones) in the show ring, and more people actually did it, the demand for the $$$$...

Somehow I cannot get the lyrics of that Carole King song out of my mind....
"I feel the earth move, under my feet..."
Not trying to be mean, but you don't bring a lacrosse stick to a tennis...

Wicking poly fabric next to your skin. Wool, too. No silk or cotton as they don't breathe. Handwarmers. In your gloves. If it's really cold, in your sports bra.
If you have no pride at all, get...

What fun! I wandered around the rest of Jim Graham's Cheshire albums and found my brother, sister in law, 2 nieces, a former sister in law and two ponies we used to have.
I was also pleased to...

Well, The woman who bought the Cheshire's farm was not humor impaired...

I was there in 1956+/-. Long outside course. I had a slightly herd-bound pony and we put one stablemate out at the far end and one back at the finish. Worked fine except for the whinnying... At the...

All the money in the world doesn't get your horse to land on the counter lead...
-
What I liked best was how clearly and definitely she put up the winning ride(s). No question that she won the test by landing on and maintaining the counter canter. No room for politics, favoritism...
-
Talk about your raising unfair expectations. They pimp this competition for 3 days than say "wait for January. " Rats.
-
-
Well, if you're the only one who successfully lands on and maintains teh counter canter, you should win. Esp. since no one even vaguely approached a hand gallop.
-
I don't know. I didn't see the whole class, but the kids I liked the best were all in C.
-
Why are they all posting to the canter? Is that the new thing?

I usually get to one AA show a year and do the L3 jumpers. Before I moved to Vermont I showed junior hunters (Harrisburg, Washington, Devon), junior jumpers, open jumper a little, and Working...
-
We'll have to disagree on this one. I'll buy that there are several horses who cannot make the move from 3'6" to 4' and remain competitive, but 3'6" is probably within the reach of 90% of good large...

Time for a logic check. Get out a 6 inch ruler. Look at half the distance. That's less than the width of a standard rail... Now take that ruler and look at it in comparison to your horse. You don't...

And you know that the tail was not expressing discomfort how? Because the tail-blockers said so?
-
What would lead you to that conclusion? If he was uncomfortable, and wringing his tail to show that discomfort, how does blocking the tail so that he cannnot show the discomfort make him more...

I figured that since Goldikova won at a mile, Zarkava at a mile and a half and Zenyatta at a mile and a quarter, the latter would be fairest. I could be talked onto a different surface,,,
-
Tha race I would like to see, but never will, is Zarkava vs Zenyatta for filly/mare of the year, universe division. I guess you could throw Goldikova in there to make it interesting. Mile and a...
