I would be interested to know as well, Appsolute.
For what it's worth, I also found that even the most mild forms of acid controllers cause rebound in myself - Tums, alkaline water, etc. :( For me, diet modification seems to be the only way to go....
Since I had been doing that for her, that's what I had also done for myself. Still didn't work.
Because it causes acid rebound. I had noticed this in my mare, which is why I dosed with "pop rocks" as often as I was advised I could - every 4 months. Her symptoms would come back almost...
Excellent! Free choice is good. If she doesn't bother with it, then I can just add a couple ounces to her feed. Thanks, everyone! :)
I know I've seen this here somewhere before, but for the life of me, I cannot find it. I want to switch from blocks to loose salt. I can't recall how much to feed.
I had used the "pop rocks" on my mare several times, over the past few years. About a month ago, I was put on omeprazole myself. I will never put myself, or my horse, on a PPI ever again.
I'm just seeing this thread for the first time now. I have spoken about my experience on here somewhere before with Horner's Syndrome. Took about 4 months for it to resolve itself in my mare, which...
Anyone heard of this, or tried it? Could be helpful, but I'm concerned about ripping off hair. Wouldn't it be difficult to remove?
So glad you liked everything, Reefy! Was so excited to get to shop for you this year, after you got me such awesome gifts last year. Far too much fun! :D
And my elf this year majorly spoiled me....
Too exciting!! :D
I have an elf! So exciting! Larger pics of the girl are sent!
No, no, I didn't get a giftee.
... I guess I've been ... forgotten ... ? ...
SO EXCITED! Just sent my e-mail! It's my second year doing this. Was so much fun last year! I can't wait! *claps*
Was just thinking of this thread the other night. My mare is in love with her new yellow bucket. Now she prefers the yellow over the green.
Anything by ELO or The Proclaimers.
Dappled grey. Oddly, I dislike most white markings on a horse. Hate caring for always-dirty white. I don't think it looks great when it's clean, either. My Clyde perfectly illustrates where I most...
How much of it do you typically get a night?
How much do you find you typically need?
Been so busy lately - holiday madness! So sorry I haven't gotten a chance to post. Can't seem to get caught up on anything - barn work, house work, sleep - nothing! Can't even get time to cut my...
Today is the first day I've worn makeup in months. I'd almost forgotten what I looked like without it. Man, I'm cute! :P At least the creepy old man at the grocery store thought so.
In that case, if that's winning, I'd much rather lose. Just heard yet another storm is coming tomorrow, and then again on the weekend.
I should probably start packing my bags now.
Yes, I need to get a quick rant off my chest.
I'm in Atlantic Canada and we had a pretty wild storm yesterday. I had to work. Live out in the country, on a farm. Had a really freaky drive to work...
I wouldn't be opposed to finding a pony in my driveway ... Just sayin' ... Santa, if you happen to see this ...
