You have the book, I presume?

He seems to be wearing one in every picture I've ever seen of him.
-
I remember him...he was really fast! Thrilled to hear he's in good hands. Any way you can post pictures?
-
Not so much verbal jostling but Pancho was definitely bitter that the best 3-year-old he ever had came along the same year as "HIM." When Sham hit his mouth on the gate in the Derby and lost a couple...

He's only run 39 times, hasn't he? Pretty well spotted if you ask me.

Bravo.
Gustav, if I send you a check will you buy these gentlemen a drink for me?

Anyone have a clue when these will be posted? I'm going to be at Hollywood Park and am trying to plan when I have to duck into an office to watch online!

Oh, no...my heart sank when I saw the title of this thread. I chatted at length with Extravagance's groom at Rolex...she was sitting on the grass and hand grazing him. What a terrible, terrible loss....

Josharoo! One of my favorites. They are indeed a perfect couple.

I'm going to call my CANTER friend now.

Sorry about that. I was going off this dispatch on EN:
Everything else that happened Saturday at Burghley in 7 sentences or less: Caroline Powell and the 19 year-old Lenamore galloped around...

Apologize if this has already been posted...but Lenamore is 19. And he's in first place.

Don't know if this record still stands or not, but I believe the gelding Playing Politics won at Suffolk at age 16.

That's along the lines of what I'm wondering about. This particular horse had been off a long time and in his first race back he ran down...he also ran very badly.
-
Coolest of the cool! My friend is there and just sent me a cell phone pic of Red Seattle in the winner's circle.
-
Yes. Sorry for being unclear...though I have seen the heels bleed. I was just trying to see if running down was related to any other physical issue the horse may be having. Thanks for all the...
-
I know what it is...the horse's heels make contact with the racing surface, causing them to bleed...but what causes it? I read somewhere that it can be a symptom of back problems. Any trainers or...

My friend is in Simi Valley...she's fantastic and the barn is a blast...great people, no drama. I'll PM you.

Hmm. The only shade options I have are the stalls...there are trees outside the pasture with branches hanging over but the shade doesn't appear until late, late afternoon.
I think I'm going to keep...

So...if any of you live in the south or the east, you're probably experiencing this horrendous spate of hot, humid weather. Unusually hot and humid even for the south.
I basically leave my four...

I guess the $hit doesn't fall far from the bat, does it?
This makes me crazy. And you're absolutely right...Dale Baird took a weird kind of pride in getting all he could out of a horse then dumping...

Go to www.pedigreequery.com and type in the mare's name. At the top there will be options to see her pedigree or progeny. Click on progeny and they should pop up.

YES!!! I've talked to Jason Glass, the guy who has him now. I used to hotwalk Highway back in the late 90s. He was the coolest dude...I was pretty worried when I saw there were so many horse deaths...
