$56.50 a lesson ($50 plus 13% HST)
That's a private lesson that lasts as long as it needs to. Can be anywhere from 20 to 75 minutes, depending on what we need to work on and how well horsie and I...

I sat in a County Connection at a horse fair once. I fell in love, but never had the opportunity to find a used one that worked for us. Many years later I found a used County Eventer at a local tack...

Tall boots April to November. Half chaps the rest of the time, so my chunky TR Toasties can fit underneath ;)
And always deerskin half-seats, cabretta gloves and a plastic helmet.
(Can you tell...

Yep! I have burgundy dress boots w/extra tall Spanish tops. I need all the help I can get when it comes to a "long" leg.
The pics don't show the matching spur straps – which the boot maker threw...

Well, I've been told!!!

I love the music. I can imagine the moves w/o seeing the freestyle. Is it Rhapsody in Blue?

Love TR Toasties - I gave my coach a pair last Christmas, and this year my hacking buddy got a pair. Now we're all set for a typical Canadian winter.
I have a couple of deerskin ones, but...

TB1201,
Hah! Not only am I fluffy – my horse is a TB who's not an easy keeper. He eats more than the 17.3 Warmbloods in the barn and stays pretty trim. Wish I had his metabolism!;)
-
Oh, I'm so with you.
When I moved to my barn it was a mostly dressage barn for pleasure riders (is that an oxymoron?). Adults only, no show folks.
Recently, management has changed to a H/J trainer...

Oh I LOFF this thread!!!
Living proof that Tacky is in the eye of the beholder.
I love shaped pads because they're so old school and traditional. I just don't want anything interfering with...

Yup, yup, yup.
I've tried to get used to the popular bling-y look.… but I just can not.
It may have to do w/the fact that I'm over a certain age and believe that if it's shiny, it's got to be...

What a good boy!
You're a very sympathetic rider. :)

I've owned and really liked both the Collegiate Jessica and the Thornhill Zurich. I found them to be well made and very comfortable. Thornhill saddles (Germania, Vienna, Zurich) are affordable and...

My personal crotch (and seatbone) punishers:
Bates Isabelle
Amerigo Vega
Schleese JES
I find comfort in a County, Kieffer and Niedersüss.

I drive 45km each way. I think that's around 28 miles. Not so far on weekends and off hours, but horribly congested otherwise.
It has taken me anywhere from 24 minutes door to door (speeding a bit)...

I've been there, and I want to emphasize how important it is to go back to basics.
The symptom seems to be an unhappy horse – not just an uncomfortable mouth carrying an unsuitable bit. Believe...

There's a video of Gal riding his freestyle in a County Perfection.
I'm guessing his isn't a run-of-the-mill Perfection. Most likely custom made to fit horse and...
