I run a series of unrecognized combined tests and derby crosses. I would really suggest not timing for several reasons. First, safety is important and you'll get lower level people gunning around to...

Congrats! And your horse thanks you!

Welcome to the area! I live in Rockville, about 5 min from Montgomery College, and board in Damascus (Southwind Farm, the best barn ever). You're not going to believe what a great area this is for...

They showed in the Second Years and not the First Years because the horse had been eventing in the US in 2012 at over 3'6", this is easy to check. In the COTH article Larry admits that they only look...

Hey Jumper-girl 221, love the horse jumping on his own. He approves if your work!

Ok, look at it this way.
Without her competition record in Europe, she would not have been eligible for the CCI**s she did with Karen O'Connor.
But with the competition record from Europe she...

Hey, eventers, the thread on the h/j forum is 30 pages long with a lot more drama. People are fighting and it's way more exciting. Since when do we let h/j people beat us at anything?
-
The only thing about thinking this is a mistake is that Larry Glefke said in the COTH article that it's "standard industry practice" to ignore European experience when deciding if the horse qualifies...

When a horse is that balky, my first instinct is to rule out physical problems before you really get after him. Have your vet do a thorough going over, check for subtle lamenesses, eye issues, etc....

NO TRIAL!!! Really. Ask me how I know.
I agree with the majority, party 1 had the right to look but No Trial!! What if the pony comes back broken? Or you can't get it back? Or something else...

I'm thinking ulcers also. Has she been on a lot of bute? Sometimes the change if routine can start it. It's actually cheaper to treat ulcers than to scope for them. Try her on some Ulcergard or...

Just gotta mention, the horse did jumpers in Wellington this winter. They need to be registered
-
I second the suggestion of Southwind, it's an awesome place with all disciplines and its open to outside trainers, and a whole bunch do come out. There are currently a few horses available for lease...
-
I don't think anyone is saying that fake registrations and ineligible entries are better or worse for any one person over another. It just happens that this horse is a little better known than most...
-
By far the most disturbing part of this thread is the number of people who think its just no big deal to cheat and everyone should just get over it. That's the problem in the h/j industry in a...

Ok so now there's an article about this
http://www.chronofhorse.com/article/inclusive-loves-wearing-derby-blue
So Larry doesn't know that eventers get registered with USEF. Yep, even us simple...
-
I'm finding it interesting to read all the scenarios that people keep coming up with to explain why this horse's team is justified in entering her in a division where she's not eligible and file a...
-
So does anyone have a list of USEF Rules That Count or USEF Rules That Don't Count?
Considering how difficult it is to add or change rules for the USEF, I would think it's a pretty big problem if...
-
Hey Martha, nicely said.
I find it kinda sad that it has to be explained why cheating is bad for the sport.
-
It's the exhibitor's responsibility to know & follow the rules. Once rules are broken, then there's a fine or whatever. Even if a BNT. Still have to follow rules. I find it hard to believe that...
-
Um, if she's qualified for Intermediate and a CCI** then she had to do Prelim and a CCI* first which is at 3'7". She wasn't in the US then, but according to the rules that shouldn't matter
-
Another question, and it's really a question since I haven't shown hunters in forever. I heard that this horse showed as a Green Hunter at Upperville. Is that allowed since she's been showing in...
-
Well that stinks. I would want to try the horse, but not if I can't drink! :)
-
Yuck or not, it's their own business who people are involved with, regardless of their questionable taste. The questions of concern seem to involve his behavior regarding the team. If he was involved...

Excuse me, could you please pass the brain bleach?
