    Equishure is a good idea I think. Succeed also helped my mare with suspected hind gut ulcers. I did the daily syringes - they are expensive though.

    I believe the feed rep is definitely just trying to get you to feed more of their feed. They don't make money on you if you are feeding alfalfa ;)

    Coles notes version:

    May 3rd 2014 horse gets hind leg tangled in a fence - degloves the leg with about 5" of exposed cannon bone and severs the extensor tendon.

    Leg successfully heals up...
