From a permitting perspective, I would buy a "farm" that had a house and barn however decrepit. Starting from scratch on raw land is tougher from a permitting POV.

The IRS uniform tables are just a table for payout of RMD's (required minimum distribution) from an IRA.....not sure they are actuarially based. It is just a table to define how the IRS gets...
If you look at the Social Security actuarial lifetime tables, a 65 year old male has a life expectancy of 17.57 more years....eg., expected to live to 82.57 years....
Remember, the 401k and 403b are "tax deferred"....eg you WILL pay taxes on them when you start to withdraw.
So whatever balance you have in those accounts, the real balance is defined by knocking...
