You're only bound by HIPAA if you're a healthcare or insurance provider.
Not if you're just someone who knows something.

Susan Posner is really good with the flatwork stuff, and really really reasonable.
Also check out Michelle Zimmer at Robert Murphy stables. She's Ralph Hill's niece and puts a very good base on...

I seriously doubt that cost would be an issue for the Mr. & Mrs. Moss.

Michelle Zimmer teaches out of Robert Murphy stables. While it's technically a hunter barn, Michelle is Ralph Hill's niece and teaches both dressage & jumping. Plus they have tons of school horses....

Don't know if the sister would sell it, but we've got one that we're not currently using.

So happy for this news!
Best wishes and fingers crossed for the rest of the battle.
Much love,

We were there with 2 running Training. My first time there and man, was I impressed!
The footing was a little deep, but good. The courses were awesome, both in SJ & XC. And the hospitality, etc....

Dr. Larry Bramlage once told me that there is no boot or wrap that provides support to the horse's leg, save perhaps a very strong elastic wrap, which could do more harm than good.
I agree with...

I had the great privilege of knowing Mo and helping Dorothy with him many times over his competitive career, from when he was going Preliminary through his retirement.
He was simply the greatest...

Yes, there's still a Johnson Ring, and it's the same one by the lake with the grandstand.

I believe it's the FEI that isn't accepting long format, not USEF.
-
No, I did not forget. I believe the question I was answering was when was the last time a horse did not die at Rolex.
-
Not me. Cause I've had a few horses that have run advanced (not with me on board, but...), and you know what? Anthropomorphizing or not, I'm pretty sure they enjoyed the hell out of what they were...

Drinking definitely helps make some sort of sense of all of this. Or some of this. Whatever...
:p:lol:

Now, here I agree with you DW.
To me, the :p is simply sticking out your tongue in a "nannie nannie boo boo" kind of way. No PTHTHBHTTHT sound.
But then, I stick my tongue out at a lot of...

Well, then I think that your analogy is still flawed. A horse gets to the upper levels (or even the mid levels) of any sport by being happy & good at what it does. If he didn't like it or wasn't...

Oh, I guess I thought you meant actively putting your horse/kid in danger.
Because while I think that everyone who owns a horse puts that horse in danger, I don't think they intend to "throw them...
-
I think that's a poor analogy. How about, you love your kid, feed him right, let him play his Gameboy, occasionally let him stay up late and eat things that aren't good for him, but that taste good....

I never ever said not to do the research. I would never ever suggest that we not try to find out if there is a reason for every type of death out there. I think it's essential that research be...

If you can find jumping on ESPN these days, I'd be amazed. They used to cover it quite a lot, but not much now.
However, I'm not suggesting that eventing is being singled out.
What I'm saying...

It absolutely amazes me that people continue to bring their dogs out there. It was so crazy hot this year, and yet you see these big, hairy dogs having to walk all over creation without easy access...
-
I don't have "stats", just personal knowledge. And I wouldn't say "suppressed", just not publicized.
After all, in a sport where ESPN isn't there, who's to know if you don't report something?

2006, although Le Samurai technically did not die at Rolex in 2007.
He was euthanized several days later, after it was determined he couldn't be saved.
-
I agree with you. It's not that there are more deaths necessarily, it's that we find out about them publicly and almost simultaneously.
It's interesting to me how many horses die in the H/J...
