I think this has been a thread before but I don't like the nouns used as verbs. "I just flatted yesterday, so I'll jump today." "We are horse-showing all weekend". Bleah. Makes my teeth itch. ;)

VTO Saddlery will be there with lots of saddles that she can try.

My horse was very tense and nervous under saddle. Not as much on the ground, but still nervous tendencies. I started her on U-guard, which is a magnesium supplement, thinking that if she was...

I've compared the County and Prestige side by side and on top of each other and they are identical in shape. in fact, I couldn't tell them apart. I think the Prestige is quite a bit cheaper.

Dentist. Definitely. Or, even better, a vet that specializes in dentistry. Dentistry is a specialty that requires specialized knowledge and tools. I just had 4 horses floated yesterday and my...

LOVED the video, and gorgeous colt. I am also interested in how you came upon this cross. He is going to be fantastic. What are you going to do with him?

Hmm. that's an interesting bit. I haven't seen it with the vertical bar before. The closest does appear to be the one that Couture linked, but not quite the same. I don't see why that bit should...

Treadstone bridles. I just got one for a young horse that I sent for training. They look great. With the cheap bridles, as long as you take really good care of them, they will last and continue to...

I've had Invisible Fence brand and now DogWatch for nearly 20 years. It has worked very well at keeping our farm dogs from wandering off the farm. At our current place, the fence wire runs along...

Forgive me if this is a really stupid question, but did you breed her last year? Was she exposed to a stallion? If so, do you have an idea of her dates? She doesn't look overly pregnant to me, but...

Trailerguy, you should most definitely write a book! Look at all the people just on this forum who would read it and promote it! You definitely have a way with words. What is your occupation? Just...

If YOU think your young one is in pain, then he probably is. You are the best judge of his quality of life. I might push harder with your vet or find a vet who would euthanize him. The old guy who...

I'm going to sound a bit like a commercial, but here is what has worked for me. First, get a good mattress. I like firm mattresses. My back always hurts after traveling and staying in hotels or...

Wow! That is some set up. Congratulations! I am so jealous of all the stalls and the covered arena. I bought my place with no barn or arena and it has been slow going getting everything set up. ...

I also guessed endo before you disclosed it. A friend of mine had the same situation and her doctor said getting pregnant was the best solution for her. Unfortunately, it was not easy. She did in...

Congrats on your successful eventing debut! To answer your questions:
1. Yes, a figure 8 is legal in eventing dressage.
2. Fleece is not as important as a good fit.
3. Level doesn't matter. If...

I have a brown dressage saddle and tend to be drawn to them... You will have no problem finding fittings. Most companies will offer the longer brown leathers. Just ask a tack store to order them...

I have the same problem. Lots of grass and weeds coming up through the bluestone. How do you get rid of them? I try to drag often and spray, but the weeds are winning. sigh...
Oh, and I would...

I was going to post something almost identical to this post. A local horsewoman's husband was killed a few years ago when his tractor turned over on him. I think of him almost every time I am on...

I'm looking into flying as well. What airport are you using?

I suggest a Courbette Vision Extra. Under $2K and very forward.

Another stirrup to try which has really helped people with knee pain is the MDC iron.

I like him! The second photo is a bit funky and he looks downhill in that one, but not nearly as much in the first photo. His back is a touch longer than I prefer. But I like his overall balance. ...
