I recently read a book that featured a buckskin with a white mane and tail.
"I hope he breeds soon because I want to clip his nuts as soon as I can."
I will give Jon credit for sitting still and staying out of his mouth. Which is good because he's got 4 INCH SHANKS on...
Oh cool. Here's where Oden lives:
It's only 2 acres. If you look at my link, you can see about 9 zillion pictures of my facility.
I put a note out on our local horse group that I was looking for somebody.
I got a bridle for $5. It's not here yet. I hope it comes, hope it's not crap, hope it fits. Hope I post in this thread in a couple of days and say how wonderful they were for me. :)
I thought my horse ate his slinky-hoodie (which he wears under his muzzle) a while ago. He got both his muzzle and his hoodie off. I found the muzzle easily, but I couldn't find the hoodie. And...
I can just tell you, you will LOVE having an automatic feeder.
Mine dispenses 8 times a day, and I love knowing they are getting small, frequent meals all day, every day, rain or shine. It's so...
The horse shows up at about 13:30. What a bizarre show!
My first horse had a droopy lip. That's how I got him.
He was a show horse -- if memory serves me right (I was only 13 then), a halter horse and a stallion. He reared up in his stall and hit...
I have had two Sweeney feeders, each one lasted more than 15 years. The second one is still going strong.
They do not make a horse feeder, so you have to get creative in setting it up. The...
Thanks, guys. All very helpful.
Change happens at the hips (and thighs), not the ankle! Got it!
Oh, and my horse is VERY, VERY wide. No doubt that doesn't help!
Thanks. I can picture that.
In my lesson last week, my instructor pointed out that my foot is only touching the stirrup on the outside bit of my foot. If you'll look at this ad and scroll to the bottom third of the page,...
Anything in particular you want to plug that you attribute the difference to?
No redeeming features.
No such thing as too much purple!
Yeah, my horse sounds just like yours, Countrywood. He's very lazy, but can also get worked up and then, suddenly, he's a lot of horse. I have no doubt he would be PERFECT for a little bit better,...
I don't get why she needs to sell this mare to downsize her herd, but she's also willing to trade for another horse.
As much as I hate that sort of marketing (the pictures), it does make me think...
I'm not a Fresian person, but that was some impressive elevation and extension!
Me too! I laughed out loud at the first picture! So crazy!
Oh, he's so cute! From his pictures, I would have thought he's a red dun. But I see he's a brown dun.
Why don't you send Ironwood Farm (here on COTH) a message. She's a Fjord person.
He doesn't look like an Andalusian to me. (Not saying he isn't; just that he isn't type-y.) And why didn't they give us a close up that showed his green eyes?
Bermuda, timothy, flax seed, alfalfa, beet pulp. Vitamins, minerals, and probiotics to balance it out.
No wheat, soy, corn, oats, or molasses.
When you get this put together, please call me...
The first one isn't accurate at my house.
Old school, if your horse is fat, feed him less.
My house: If your horse is fat, obsess endlessly on the starch and sugar content of his food. Call...
I use Chaffhaye, but I don't have a toothless horse. You know, if you contact Chaffhaye, they'll send you a sample big enough to make a decision on. It's a terrific feed.
