Not that this was a question for me but mostly when I ride bareback I work on my sitting trot. And you do need to wrap you legs around the horse. When I do post when asked by trainer I make sure I...

Oooh good point on the tight thigh!!! Yes I learned this from a very good Dressage trainer.
I even had lounge lessons where I bent my knees and held my feet with my hands as we walked, trotted...

This is what's wrong... people want to do what they want to. So rude and disrespectful.
Yes, YOU are liable if they get bit or kicked reaching over the fence. A horse is considered in legal terms...

You say - "I don't have the insurance for it , i don't have children's helmets, my large horses are green and in training, and worth way too much to get hauled on by a beginner rider." ;)
I am so...

I do know riders that support this (take your lower leg off horse) but in the Hunter/Eq/Jumper world it's not correct. I used to ride a horse that hated lower leg contact so often I rode from my...

The stirrup question is so hard to answer because so many people like a different feel.
Once I demoed a trail saddle that had those wide footbed type trail stirrups and they were so...

I try to hug him but he gets all pissy. My other horse is for hugging, he likes it.
I think riding different types of horses is a good thing in general. I have been riding a hotter horse and now...

I had an OTTB that did this too. Horses coming at him. I think Midge is right. I hope it works out for you and your daughter... re-training issues are really difficult and take time.
Good luck.
