Stay on top of her teeth floating and do a fecal count--I don't know where you are from but a Power Pack is worth discussing with your vet. You know, the clean slate and all.
I also use...

LAZ--that is worth considering. Do I need a training run in the last six months to qualify? He's been off for a year. I did South Farms' T3D with him in 2008 if that helps.
Let me know.

We have a main "chute" at the moment due to rotating pastures. We use the box spreader tines to rough it up and then just tamp it down with the front loader bucket.
The only way to get grass to...

Same as regular no climb--mine are 8' treated round. The wire goes almost to the top.

I am a month behind so looking for a tougher training run before moving up to P in July...May Daze Training may be too easy and not a good bump. Has anyone done Training at Spring Run?

Zinc coated no climb will not rust and has a 30 yr. guarantee (and it's black so it disappears).
5' no climb does not need a top rail and has kept out the deer, so no need for electric.
I run...

Security to the backside is rather tough --Horsecents and I went to pick up Forever September and spent more time in the darn office than we did loading the horse. Take ID with you. They had to...

Another vote for Triple Crown Sr. Everything you need in a complete feed, especially for an OTTB. My two event horses are just thriving on it, and one was an especially difficult keeper. Four...

Dealhoussaye? Slip there DH? I think not, hope not. Keeping it real...I hope justice is served on behalf of one grey filly that literally fell one day. She was sent to OSU where she was found to...

I don't like to jump on bandwagons but you have to give Lookin at Lucky his due credit for that trip and the win. At one point I thought his jock was gone. That colt showed a tremendous amount of...

The latest from CANTER PA turns three next week so he's been doing what he does best...eat. And I mean EAT.
That said, its hard to have a new horse in the barn that you haven't even seen jog...

YES...hey ask LAZ, one of her students did Rolex on a horse that was 15.2, at age 18!!!! And Teddy? It's the size of the heart that really matters. He's got both good conformation and breeding! ...

Remember him from CANTER PA? I jumped on him from a bucket Saturday and went for a trail ride down the drive. I never picked up the reins, and I dropped my stirrups--he is one cool cucumber. On the...

Well there is a couple of things they could do...limit leash lengths and limit the space between the dog and the galloping lanes. They can put something in the program and overnight score sheets...

PM me at NancyK@canterusa.org and I'll put you in touch with the CANTER folks that took his listing and will be there Saturday. FYI I know a person that looked at him when he was still a stallion...

TSC--I could rant on and on...selling items I ordered--not once but TWICE, telling me they had items in stock that were not there (mysteriously) after I arrived to buy them, ordering full pallets of...

Not my choice either Barnfairy. But it will helps us rehome more, and for that we are grateful.

Laurierace...the people involved with that incident resigned and that was a long time ago. We have a whole new team of very dedicated people up there now, and throughout the states. With this grant...

One thing no one mentioned here is teeth...have them checked as well. Most that I have taken off the track needed some dental help. There are lots of good ideas here on re-starting. My favorite is...

She also might want to start as a groom or hotwalker, just to get to know the racing protocol. I was a groom for a short time before I exercised, and usually had one horse that I chose to groom even...

Once as a steward for the XC warm up I found people with someone else's armband, and another with no information on it. Their warm up was cut rather short by a trip back to the barn.

Badger, I agree completely. And that does take into account that most ch or * courses were in the fall, and events in the spring a little easier. Now we go year round.
-
Personally, I just pick the P courses carefully. Which brings me to another thought--it used to be, in the old days, that the spring courses were good move ups and the fall courses a bit tougher. ...

DMK is right. I also have Rambo's and trust these cheap sstack blankets more for waterproof layering.
