Make sure you grind the flaxseed up. The hard hulls make it so horses (and humans) can't digest it.
Also, flaxseed will go rancid very quickly once ground. Best to grind as needed or to buy...
Mattes has a jumping version of their pads that fit a forward flap.
My Dublin River boots ran a little big (about 1/2 size).
I've also had good experiences with Zulily. Shipping can take a long time though since they don't seem to drop ship.
I believe he's a silver dapple.
Is the website no longer up and running? It's been a quite few months since I've gone on it, but now it comes up with "server not found."
I think LOPE is still around, but they are no longer doing the listing service for the trainers. At least that's what I got from the CANTER TX page.
I was drooling over him last week and found more photos from of him:
I got mine yesterday, and other that one side of the box being almost totally split open I had no issues. They seem to fit (other than seeming slightly tighter through the foot bed than my...
I second getting the webbers/web-A stirrups. I have a pair of the dark brown Ovation web-As and a pair of Stubben's mono leathers (thicker than either the Wintec's or Ovation's), and love them both....
I was bored so thought I'd sift through eBay's listings. Glad they'll work for you! There's a few black "vintage" tall boots listed too.
There's a pair from Beval Saddlery listed on eBay for about $75 + shipping. Can't remember the size, but they're listed under women's boots.
When/if I ever get a trailer I would love a Balanced Ride:
They're made by Hawk in Wisconsin.
I'll second the One K helmet (I have the Defender Pro model and it has a drop down sun visor glasses) and Higher Standards Leather Care. The HSLC balm, in my opinion, is superior to Effax and you...
Higher Standards Leather Care! The balm is fantastic and the soaps smell amazing (and work really well too).
Sorry for the multiple posts!
Here's an interesting thread from the HGS forum that I had to go dig up. While there isn't a public test for W20 (dominant white or *white or whatever they decide to...
Also, many of the dominant white genes are associated with a certain bloodline (though again this isn't true for all of them). If you do some research you may be able to find whether or not she may...
Dominant white and lethal white overo (aka frame overo) are two different things. While some of the dominant white genes are believed to be embryonic lethal (seems like mare never settled/aborted...
I couldn't tell if it was the horse, the handler not letting him move out, the small area etc. Though I agree I would want to see him trot out in person or have a new video.
My friend is trying to talk me into getting a horse, but, as much as I want one right now, with class, work and some other things that could affect my future finances for an unknown period of time...
And here's my saddle:
I just got my Heritage saddle from Matt Marlow and specifically requested a narrow twist (coupled with a wider seat). The saddle is just lovely to ride in and it's not even broken in yet.
My dressage saddle is an almost 30 year old Passier PSL. It's in wonderful condition and will probably outlive me. I had a Passier comet that was made a year before/after the PSL and it was a...
