I had a good experience selling a saddle on Tacktrader.
It's not a vacation resort. It's jail. The inmates aren't there for a good time. And who is going to pay for those video games? They're not free. Not an appropriate use for my tax dollars.

I'd think if you cut that sort of pad, it would fray and fall apart. Have you checked Ebay? Might be able to find something smaller on there.

Their current advertising slogan is "I am AQHA Proud", which I am finding particularly inappropriate in light of this action.
Here is the NRHA Professionals list. There are some reining trainers listed in MD. Don't know if any of them would have lesson horses available, but it can't hurt to ask.

Tacktrader worked well for me the last time I sold a saddle a few years back. I think shipping was around $75 or so.
