The area is huge. Anywhere from Wylie to Burleson.
That can put you up to 2 hours drive time.
Can you narrow down your location a bit?
If you are in Dallas maybe check out Buckbranch with Becky...
Maybe it doesn't affect me in my dressage saddle because my legs are so effing long... and I ride TBs who aren't hugely deep through the girth..?
I suffer from hypermobility. yup. it's a thing.
I don't have issues with my heals in my dressage saddle...
but in my jumping saddle, especially when I'm in two point. OMG. My toes will tough my...
for the walk:
need to have following hand
I haven't scored less than a 7 on the medium walks since.
for the canter:
the canter is only straight when it's ridden in shoulder fore.
Yup gypsy...size 12 narrow foot here. And my big toes are giant.
My biggest beef is with all the shorties takin my man inventory!!! Several posted here!!!!
Its cool. Gives me an...
Yup, I waited until today to google what females should wear to Fire Dept interviews.
The #1 answer is....a suit. Boom!
The issue? I'm shaped like an alien and I don't have...
I would work on the lunge as well.
And try closing all the aids on the right. By having an open right rein you may be giving the horse a spot to come into with that right shoulder.
it's walk. walk is simple.
also, it's for an intro horse. some of those suggestions are really complicated! lol
Walk is simple. To improve the walk....just walk.
And walk a lot.
Well I'm going to throw a shout out for Sara and BOTH of her rides in that division.
She took 1st and 2nd.
The 2nd place horse being Mr. Harry Houdini himself.
She has an amazing string of...
thanks to the other thread,
for her dressage bridle I'm shooting for this:
I'm toying over getting this browband to replace the one that comes...
It bleeds all over. It turned my friends light gray horses head black.
Yes, I suggested using a bit that would have very little movement. I find that green horses need stabity to learn where the bit is and where it should be... Wiggly Bits don't offer them this teach
So I guess my thing is I don't like the browband to interfere with chrome if possible. The brow bands that dip down *often touch the white on a horses face.
I do like that bridle a lot but I...
I'm now more confused than ever over what I want.
these bridles are sooo nice.
but this one is too!!...
Just wanted to add because this is a bridle thread.
My OTTB has an A frame palate.
I advise sticking your hand in his mouth to feel his palate. She how it's shaped.
For fussy horses I try to give them something stiff with little movement.
I always try to use hook/stud on my dressage bridles and buckles on my jumping bridles.
I think hook/stud have a tidier over all appearance and I like having less hardware around the horses lovely...
Aren't there some studies hidden away somewhere saying that weight bearing on the young horses is actually productive to long term soundness? Helps build bone density as we all know.
So I guess the question was more to what is in style.
Do you guys in general see patent and think it looks tacky...
lol. never hear of these until this thread!
this is the one I love so much. I wish I wish I wish I was loaded. ...
first, I would add a diet balancer. A working horse doesn't get what they need from grass.
Magnesium is known to help with muscle soreness.
IMO the wider girths are going to be more...
It's time for me to buy my little homebred her very own bridle.
She's Trakehner. Lovely refined head with a large star and large snip. Dark Bay.
1st, I have seen some patent...
She's been turned out for 6 years. I bet shell be fine. The injuries that cause horses to not come back are usually due to not enough rest.
I'm a firm believer of small turn out rehab without...
I buy ice cells from Academy and thrown them on the tendons and slap a shipping boot on to hold them in place after every ride.
For shows I'll use Jacks boots
