We have this same thread in the Eventing forum and people are forever thinking I'm saying "the bar"!
-
My non-horsey friends always think I'm saying I'm going to the bar when I am actually going to the barn. All my friends must think I'm a drunk!

She should try posting an ad on virginiaequestrian.com to try to find someone to carpool with. I'm not sure what the Maryland equivalent would be, but I definitely have friends that work in DC and...

I have a pair of Ariat Tall winter boots and when they arrived (I bought them online) they were too big - or so I thought - there is actually the perfect amount of room for me to wear one thin sock,...

Thank you! I just read B and I'll need to start memorizing it now if I want to be sure to know it by spring!

When you enter at working trot it says AXMC. So you go straight to X, then go diagonal to M? Sounds a little odd...Can anyone explain this change?
-
Has anyone had this experience? Or am I just "special"?
The lining in only one of my Ariat pull-ons is separating from the outer layer. I have had the boots for a while but I use them only...

How exciting! Northern Va is getting another unrecognized HT. I feel so lucky to be here. Thanks GRC! If I can get a ride, I will definitely be there competing in 2010
-
I saw them Saturday at a show on someone and they looked pretty snazzy! I can see why you want a pair

 Wow! Your parents sound wonderful! I wish I had that kind of support
I have a mostly white paint, so I've opted against white so that it does not clash if I haven't gotten him white enough....

Wow! I just wanted to add that I think this scholarship is a wonderful idea! A huge thank you to whomever it is who puts out the money for this. Eventing is an expensive sport and those that are...

I only see boots (& they are a great deal) but do they sell any other Ariat products that I am missing?
Thanks for sharing!

Very true. I should amend to say that the Craiglist poster says the horse is unsound for riding, but not necessarily unsound for the field. The Craigslist poster does not say the horse is in any pain...

Can anyone help this horse? I saw this ad on the Craigslist in the DC/MD/VA area. The owner has to put the horse down if he cannot find him a home. The horse is unsound and cannot be ridden....

Great thread! My horse has a boring name but I was terrified to change it (he's also my first horse). He did injure himself shortly after I purchased him...hmmm..

....but GoForAGallop is correct. If you truly love her as you claim you do, you need to put her best interest first. If you cannot do that, than do not say she is your "best friend". I agree that you...

WoW! Those pictures are amazing! I want to buy one and put it up in my house

Hypnosis is merely a heightened state of suggestion. Not everyone is able to be hypnotized. Unfortunately, the more tightly wound you are (like myself) the less able you are to be hypnotized (which...

The reason I felt compelled to donate is because I care deeply about this sport and the young talented riders are our future. I will never be an Advanced level competitor. My contribution allows me...

I just made my donation.
Dear Jennie - stay strong! My horse and I have you in our thoughts and prayers

I do believe the last Generous George's closed in Alexandria a few weeks ago

I disagree with many of the previous posters. Granted, I am in VA where there are nice horses a-plenty, but as a former serial leaser, I still stalk the for-lease ads on the regular (for fun, since I...

Yeah, no way, I don't think so.
