I am quite liking it. Could this be done by taking lessons from a pro? Sure - if you happen to have a pro in your area who is familiar w/ in-hand training. I don't.
My horse is a LOT stronger and...
I have the ogle saddlery one for my icey.
I had to put a few extra holes in it and add a couple 'hair band' keepers - but it works GREAT!
You can ride in it as well - or use it as an 'academic...
I have a prestige Icelandic d1. Yeah - down in front unless it rides up....but he has such boulder shoulders that if he really gets going it gets shoved back. So I just decided to put it where his...
Prestige's mostly seem to have a 'short wheel base' as well.
Thinline seat saver!!! Absorbs more shock to MY back than my thinline pad. Haven't been able to try both together yet...hopefully that will be even better!
Um...which PART of Houston?
If you're south, you probably wouldn't want to go to Fran's - she's north...
If you're north, some of these others might not work.
Driving across the Houston...

tnx for the suggestions!
hmmmm.....that first article is very interesting.
maybe i'll just up the low carb feed some for calories (he only gets a pound or so) and use a spray on conditioner for the skin.
I'll try the whole flax. I can always feed it to the other 2 if it doesn't work, I guess.
The rice bran was the nutrena empower.....LOOOVEEEED it for about 3 days. Then would eat it if mixed in...

Anybody know of a stirrup that is angled for easier pick up (like the MDC's) that also comes in WIDE?
My husband needs a 5 1/2" stirrup to accommodate his boots. He would also like to be able to...
Guilherme, the horse doesn't pace, he prefers trot. Which is why I made the comment that boots only in front were going to make things worse.
He's a 10yo 4 gaited icey whose previous owners never...
yeah...as of now i'm thinking fronts only will totally screw him up. he tends to be trotty.
everybody seems to indicate that for a pacey horse, extra weight on the front squares them up...for...
So does the weight of the hoof boot negatively impact gaits? Or put additional strain on joints?
Do you have to boot all 4 to not impact gaits?
I have 2 icey's that both move pretty big, and we...
The other boot I was looking at is the Brossard....but a) I DO worry about the zip, and b) it looks like it has a higher heel.
My wonky hips need the lowest heel they can get!
thanks for the list ms ridiculous!!! ordered a pair of spur straps from SOTM! (and am having a REALLY hard time NOT ordering an asmar jacket!).
i'm drooling...but kind of gasping at the price. at this point i'm thinking I might choke myself doing both at once! :D
I need to get a pony from Vernon BC to Seattle, WA.
All of the haulers I know of are US based and don't seem to do cross-border shipping.
Anybody know a good hauler that will go BO to Seattle?
