It's funny to see the advertising aimed at horse people. A jewelry ad followed by a tractor commercial.
I got this information in an email from USEF. Lots of horses on tv this month!
^ Plumcreek, thanks. Very unfortunate situation. :(
So does that mean a bunch of kids missed out on the chance to qualify for the Maclay finals? That would be a shame, especially for those in their last year.
And is there a junior in Region 5...
I've also had good experiences at the Holiday Inn Express in Georgetown, and the Four Points Sheraton right near the Fairfield Inn.
The Knights Inn on that street, not so much.
Quite a mix of familiar names and other names. Full results here:
This might help:
^^ Interesting, thanks.
I'll bet everybody in the class at Saugerties will be glad to hear it.
Well, McLain finished fifth in the individual standings, so hopefully he will have a smooth trip home to show at Saugerties.
Beezie, on the other hand, made the top four, so she will be showing...
McLain went clear in the first individual round today at WEG. So we'll just have to wait and see if he gets on that plane from France. :)
Best of luck to him either way!
The riders can get on a plane and be across the ocean pretty quickly, if they have different horses to show that are already in Saugerties. Only the top four riders compete on Sunday at WEG in the...

Her mom posted a video on Facebook that showed it in slow motion. It looked like maybe the horse's shoe got caught somehow on the belly girth, so he couldn't put that front foot down as he landed....
^ That was my reaction as well.
The Chronicle has posted lots of great pictures, including some hilarious candids of team members watching their fellow riders in the ring.
I heard about that. Fingers crossed for him.
It's a miracle any of us get anything done!
^ Www.HamptonClassic.com I think.
The OP has come to the very last place to get talked out of watching a live feed from a horse show!
I remember getting a stern warning many years ago about sharing a poppy seed bagel with a horse.
^ So is that the end of it? The deadline for final entries has passed.
If you look at the list of ribbon winners in the last five years or so, there is actually a pretty good mix of kids who come from very wealthy families, kids who are the offspring of trainers, and...
^ There is a new show there this year. I would think a lot of people will use it to get more time in that ring as a prep for Harrisburg.
