Bob Orton and Sherra Kosch in Gladys VA provide excellent youngster care. Would be a few hours drive for you though.
Looking for a controlling sports bra for my DD's!! ;-). Need to considerably minimize the "upstairs" bouncing!!!
Thanks for your suggestions!
Thinking of mixing my own feed, especially for older TB who has persistent loose stools, lots of gas. Vet has seen him several times and we have tried multiple feeds and supplements.
Any one with...
My colt born 6/14/2011 was taken to NCSU early Thursday morning due to uncontrolled diarrhea of unknown origin. He was stable when we took him, but starting to nurse less and was less active. He is...
Thanks every one!! Udder getting softer each day and slowly getting bigger.
My mare is at 313 days, second foal ( first was 8 years ago). She barely bagged up before foaling with last foal. She now is equally developed on each side if udder, but very firm (thick dense...

I have a big Lab and bought him one of the water proof Thinsulate blankets and love it. Great fit and price. They do run small, so I ordered a size up.
Thanks ponymom64. I think it is the same pony as I saw on her show record some show at Fairfield.
Good to hear! Thanks!
I have contacted Woodlands and are actually going to see the pony tomorrow. Was just looking to see if any one had personal experience with this pony as I know she was shown by many kids.
Thanks Silk. I have heard good things about the Woodlands ponies as well, so hope it works out for my neice. She needs a good confidence building pony/horse.
My neice has the opportunity to ride this pony for pleasure and possibly some very small local shows (probably not jumping). Wondering what this pony's tempermant is like since my neice is very...
Thanks for replies!! I did see the EquiCalc and metronome one. Be great if they would a training log type one and one that organizes expenses. Guess we'll just have to wait and see!
Looking of apps, not games that may be useful in relation to horses. Just got an iTouch and does not seem like there are a lot of equine apps out there?? But maybe I just don't know where to find...
I have seen one horse boarded at my place that used a bitless bridle. Owner only pleasure rides and took an occasional lesson. My concern with it is when asking the horse to step into the out side...
Got a good cross out of my Nebelhorn (out of TB mare) with Wallstreet Kid but since he is now gelded (and not hot on doing frozen) I am going with Walzertraum at this point.
I really like VTO Saddlery blankets. Great quality for the price, all my horses wear them out 24/7 and one gets rubs.
I think the heavy blankets are less then 120$ and...
Really interested in getting my horses off commercial feed. Any one here doing that?? Would love to hear what you are feeding.
I am lucky that my guys stay out 24/7 on good grass so don't need...
I noticed a HUGE difference when I started giving my 10 year old Lab "Zuke's Hip Action" treats. Smart Pak even has them, so I just have a couple bags come in with my monthly order.
We have 2 trees near a pasture fence and when in season my horses probably eat a few a day. That is the first place they go to when turned out!! I think he will be fine.
Any one use TheraCell EQ supplements?? I have been using the Equilibrium and love it. Wondering what folks think of the other supplements, especially digestion health/ulcer prevention.
I got mine from VTO Saddlery. They have very reasonable prices on just about any thing and great service to boot.
I have the ultra too. Figure it can't hurt when trying to sit my guys big trot! ...
Heah Ashley. Try posting on the Racing forum if you have not already. Keep bumping the post up too, I had good luck here with info on a gelding I leased for a while.
Hope all is going well for...
I had the pleasure of being around him quite a bit when he was here in VA and fell in love with him then! Have always heard good things about his offspring as well, just as you have said. Thank you...
Just a reminder to vaccinate your horses twice a year for WNV. Tennessee Walking horse died in Pittsylania county VA of WNV complications. Of course the horse was not vaccinated!
