There was a thread a year or so ago about vacations/trips to the Western U.S. for experienced horse people. I tried to search it but can't find it...
So any recommendations?? I'm looking for a...
How about some reining for fun, and lots of trail rides, would he be suited for that?
Does he ride well alone?
Always been a Subaru person, but lately I feel so low and "in a bucket" when I drive my '08 Impreza.
So, I'm looking around at other options. I work in emergency services, so I have a lot of gear I...
Riderless APHA mare between Harrisburg and Gettysburg PA. Registered, boarded, up to date. Willing to do off farm free lease. Green project mare. Willing to pay vet/farrier bills.
Cute horse!!! If only I could afford one more :D
Yes, I know another one of those threads...but so many of you guys are just so knowledgable about it, I can't help but ask!

Absolutely love, love, love Patty Lynch!!!
Gee, thanks!!! I was searching high and low!
The title says it all...but I've never blanketed the maresy through winter, and she'll be spending more time outside this year and is looking a little cold.
Looking to spend about $150.00 or less...
I would suggest thinking long and hard about being an instructor, and all that goes with it (liability, changing barn atmosphere, have tack/helmets for small children) but if you choose to do it,...
Love my Subaru. Can't say enough about it.
Still have the original tires on it at almost 50,000 miles, have only changed oil and filter thus far (no major repairs, knock on wood), got the rubber...
I have a needy horse and I have a friendly horse...I knew your pain.
Have you tried pinching him? It sounds mean or like not enough, depending upon your view...but I have a horse who really...
I did, and I sometimes wish I hadn't. He was the horse of a lifetime and when I think of his last minutes, I remember his muscles clenching and body kind of seizing... :(
Good luck with your decision
Also, check out her nutrition.
Check out Triple Crown 30% Supplement. You feed it as a feed. 3/4 of a lb. twice a day.
My horses are on it, and my easy keeper looks great.
I just did a search and got ALOT of results.
How long do you give it to heal with home treatment before calling the vet?
Today or Tomorrow!
I think my horse has scratches. I've never seen it before so I don't know for sure.
They are horizontal, crusty, dirty lines between the fetlock joint and coronary band, on the BACK of her legs....
We transitioned both of our horses that way, and neither had any complications.
The mare will need extra calories in the winter, we haven't decided yet what to add in.
So glad to hear your guy...
Sounds crazy, but I love my Nike Shox for walking around doing barn work and general farm work.
If you're mucking though, they collect a lot of "stuff" in and around the "shocks".
A goat might be a better option. Some people do eat them, however most of us don't.
Definitely do it! You can bring your newfound skills back and maybe teach Fen something!
BTW I'm an avid reader!
Can anybody offer some help?
I searched high and low last December for "THE TRIMMER" and found her. She's turned my horses' feet and health around. What a great woman!
Now she's hurt, and is out of comission for a while. I have...
