Lol I'm always amazed too they end up with beautiful necks :P
Thanks for the ideas guys!
I just bought him a vest, tie and nice shirt with black pants and patent shoes. Mostly from a used clothing store for kids :) less than $10 and he looked really sharp!
Mine do all that plus wearing a saddle, some light long lining (you can walk everywhere and it's fantastic training!), trailering off site and to shows...
However mine also just get to be horses...
My one stallion (Connemara pony) stands for $750. The other will be in that range as well after he proves himself. Of course, proven mares can get discounts as well as booking early in the season...
Brilliant!!! I only have one grey mare, so will contact for the kit.
Congrats!! I had to catch a foal this year too :) Mama didn't want to stay down, so I only got the first half on video. Lol!! Slippery suckers!!
Thanks for the shout out goodpony :)
I breed Connemaras, not WB... so this is a bit different... I did start into them because I wanted to downsize my riding horses (previously Irish Draughts mostly) to a more manageable size without...
I am relatively new to driving and started with minis to get used to it all on a "smaller" scale. My 5 year old son has no interest in riding, but was keen on driving. So, in true enabling mother...
Love it!! So much character and what a lovely line though her elbow to bit :)
Definitely sounds like a vet cranking like hell
I had to winter blanket my late foaling mare last year. Did not want to, but HAD to. The bugs here are so bad in the spring and summer that I have to sheet them. :(
I work full time off the farm and have a small connemara breeding program. We maintain farm status by virtue of the breeding (used to be chickens, beef and firewood). I also can write a lot off and...
The stallion I have here on lease, Morning Glorys Ilyushin is EXTREMELY glittery. I have seen it before, but always on stallions and assumed it was a "stallion" thing.
I have one due mid May, one mid June and one mid July :)
I am in the "it can't be done" camp. Not reliably.
I'm howling at Spunky!!!!
I rode and bred my stallion.... But he was a Connemara and rather sane ;) Had no issues at all, but we also were not upper level.
If GAEventer doesn't mind, just letting you all know she foaled a lovely, leggy and cute as a button colt :)
I had a late term ultra sound done last fall... Baby was way over the pelvic rim and all we could see was amniotic fluid. So, it was weird, but she was pregnant (just held onto it for 434 days!!)
I gelded my first stallion at 7. He was a lovely boy before and gelding made him exceptional :)
I have two kids, 2 and 5. It's because I had kids I decided to focus more on my breeding program rather than myself riding. It's easy to give a youngster 5-10 minutes at a time rather than keeping a...
I have a coming two this June that decided to toe out. And move terribly :( Absolutely gobsmacked by it :(
